Everything You NEED to Know Before Watching The Mandalorian Season Three 

Can’t wait for Din Djarin’s return! It was great seeing Boba and Din team up briefly, and after a pretty rough year (in much honesty, 2022 was pretty much hell), the hype for Season 3 of the Mandalorian has been one of those small things keeping my hype for Star Wars up and helping me back in the groove of things. Can’t wait for more adventures with Din and Grogu.

If Dave Filoni is involved writing two episodes, we are definitely going to see Rebels character like Sabine and/or Ahsoka. Also this season has to lead tinto Ahsoka series.

I am most excited about the return of Navarro and the Mandalorian covert. That entire story has been my favorite part of this story since season one, very much inspired by the Wild West and the decline of Native American tribes. I have a feeling that this war on Navarro will bring those personal tensions to their peak, like the Ferrix Riot in Andor, and that Din will need to put his conscience over the code. THIS IS THE WAY!

I’m really hoping that we get to see Mando basically tell the Armorer “buzz off. I don’t need your approval to be a Mandalorian.”

I feel as though this is Grogu's origin story and that Grogu IS the Mandalorian. I am also willing to bet Grogu rewrites the teachings of both Jedi and Mandalorian, combining the two "Religions?". Peace/JT

I am not only so proud of you guys for building up the channel to the point where you're my trusted news anchors for this but also, your excitement is adding to my already fevered interest in Season 3. I rewatched Book Of Boba Fett on the weekend, and watching it in one fell swoop was considerably better than when I first watched it, as even the slow parts that everyone complained about were now just part of the story unfolding. The Battle of Mos Espa still felt a bit small, but everything else worked really a lot better than my first run through. You take the nerdy over-analysis out and you gain entertainment value.

Kevin McKidd as Fenn Rau would be cool.

Two things I'd like to note: the partially hidden blue armored Mando at 5:43 could very well be Fenn and the Helm at 3:53 definitely looks like the aftermath of armor superheating weapon from Rebels.

Sabine Wren is one of the two episodes with Dave Folini having partial credit makes a lot of sense.

Ludwig Göransson is Swedish. Therefore the first syllable in his surname ("Gör") is pronounced like the word "yurt" except without the T.

I learned that it was a good idea to watch The Book of Boba Fett before finally this next season of The Mandalorian and oh man I have not regretted it! It was the only live action Star Wars show that I hadn't watched and now that I'm watching that I can't believe that I haven't watched it sooner. It's the time to watch it before this new season of The Mandalorian. Thank you dude for all you do covering Star Wars news!

Before this series started I remember looking at several "Full history of the Mandalorians" videos and reading through several wikis. Much of it has been made non-canon now I think, but I recall thinking. Oh so basically they're a Spartan inspired people that somewhat mirror the Jedi/Sith in numerous ways. Originally a race of people that became more of a religion and way of life that anyone of any race could follow (Sorta like the Sith IIRC). But basically they're a people doomed to always war amongst themselves to their own extreme detriment. We saw this through Clone Wars and Rebels. Clans, Sects, Extremists, Fundamentalists, Pacifists all thinking their way was the best. And in a war like society it always seems to result in massive Civil Wars. I kinda thought it was too one-dimensional TBH. But it will be interesting to see if this Season of the Mandalorian can change that. AFAIK past Rebels we don't know much at all about how/what/where the Mandalorians have been up to in the Galaxy? There's no real presence in the Sequels so really it seems like there's an open book to be written about their fate

I wouldn’t say that study his opponents art to find out their next move is a super power, I think it shows that grand admiral Thrawn is the only imperial officer who does what the others can’t do, think outside the box.

I love how interconnected the lore of SW is. 1 bounty hunter in cool armour in 1980 leads to an entire subgenre of lore including his dad being the template for the clones, their homeworld being destroyed several times, being the arch enemy of the jedi, and its still evolving with it looking like Din will become Mandalore

One other Mandolorian I'd like to see in this or the Ahsoka show is Sabine's 'sister', Ketsu Onyo and her ship the Shadowcaster.

The only unaccounted for mandalorians that I still want to know what happened to them is Ursa and Tristan Wren and Rook Kast.

I think it'd be cool if/when Din become the Mandalore, fully accepted as Ruler by his people, that the Title Card Changes from The Mandalorian to just The Mandalore.

I love all of the Timothy Zahn star wars novels. I started with Heir to the Empire trilogy and then found 6 more new ones. I have all of the Chist ascendancy novels and the rest of them after he joined the Empire. All are really good stories.

This season is gearing up to be great. We're going to Mandalore baby!

I haven't yet seen Resistance or Andor, and I just started The Bad Batch. I just finished The Clone Wars for the first time and am planning on working through the rest of the Star Wars franchise chronologically. Which means after I finish the Bad Batch I'm going to rewatch Solo and Obi-Wan, then watch the first season of Andor, then rewatch Rebels (and fitting in the S2 sections of Andor if they're out by that time), then Rogue One and the OT, then The Mandalorian/TBoBF before moving on to the ST and Resistance. Does that sound like a big mistake? Should I prioritize some things over others? (For example, even though Tales of the Jedi takes place in the PT era, I think it's better to have watched at least some of Rebels before the final TotJ episode so you know that Ahsoka is fighting an Inquisitor.)

Yeah Loved Andor but looking forward to more Din Djarin & Grogu adventures as well more pulpy side of Star Wars yeah hope he becomes Mandalore and gets a better view on what A Mandalorian yeah loved what you said about Fenn Rau being a Foil to Aromorer yeah Im curious if we will get more backstory iif she was a MaulDalorian Commando formerly yeah I'm so excited the filoni episodes as well yeah we shouldn't rule out Ahsoka and Sabine showing up yeah excited about Carson Teva as well hope gets a figure announced during the shows run

Bardan Jusik was also a Mandalorian Jedi. He led Clan Skirata. A very famed and interesting Clan, I really would like a show about him.

I still think since they aren't recasting Cara Dune or continuing her story that she dies and Moff Gideon gets away. This would be a great way to add even more conflict to Din and show the stakes are getting higher and higher as he gets close and closer to reuniting his people.

Been a fan of Ludwig since Community and Childish Gambino. So glad he’s back and all the recognition he’s getting.

Wow, you do such a great job with these. I wasn't super pumped about the new season because I had forgotten a lot of what happened in BoBF....but now I can't wait!

Prediction: Grogu ends up Force-wielding the Dark Saber to save Din's life in season 3 -- or otherwise a badass Luke Skywalker end of Season 2 type OMG moment! Two years is plenty of time for Luke to train Grogu in using Yoda's lightsaber!!!

I am pretty certain the highly developed city that we glimpse in the trailers is not Coruscant. Every skyscraper that we have seen on Corsuscant has a definite Art Deco look to it, geometric shapes and long straight lines. The skyscrapers in the city we see looked far less artistic and more like plain glass boxes. Unlike Coruscant, the traffic seemed mostly ground based, or at least not as high altitude. BTW, I would jump for joy if Christopher Lloyd showed up as a Big Bad Guy, pulling strings behind the scenes.

Just because Dr Pershing didn't want Grogu to die doesn't mean he cared for Grogu. He may have been given orders to make sure Grogu still lives so further experiments/blood analysis could be done.

Gotta say, I managed to shut all Star Wars inflow out, because I didn't feel like it. I have no idea what's happening in Season 3 and I'll probably go back to Season 1 and start the entire saga up again just for the fun of it. 😅

I still want Sabine to be the Manda'lor. I just don't see Din as wanting to be the ruler. My wish for Din is to spend a few more years kicking ass before returning to the shrimp world and settling down on the farm with Grogu and that widow
