I have been browsing videos after videos... Spending hours trying to figure out how to run the shop and making it alive, alot of the contents that i found were way of their topics... But you have opened my eyes widely within few minutes... Awesome job 👍👍👍
This is really great content. The speaker did a god job in every area that he spoke about. Watching this video make me feel confident about moving forward with Shopify and Oberlo.
Hey there! Great suggestion and we may consider it in the future. This video was intended for store set up, not for marketing campaigns. Here's a great guide to set up paid campaigns (bit.ly/2GZ3v3f). Hope this helps! -David
Hello David! Thanks a lot for your assistance on helping us, the new "entrepreneurs to become". I was looking and watching multiples videos and blogs for information to give life to my store, and now, after finding your video, I really feel the confidence to start to work seriously on my idea. I found in you a clear voice and perfect way of speaking when explaining the valuable information you're teaching us. So, really, wanted to tell you that I appreciated your work very much. Hope to find more videos of you explaining and teaching deeper tips... I'll be glad to follow them, and continue with this challenge I'm decided to achieve. Be always blessed!
Thanks so much for your kind words! Very happy to help. Feel free to shoot us a DM on Facebook or email us at hello@oberlo.com is you have any trouble along the way! -David
Without a doubt, this was the most impressive and informative tutorial I have viewed. I’ve been trying to set up 2 stores (one for dropshipping, and one for products I make myself) and I think now I have the tools to do that. Thanks.
thank you so much i was confused with the shipping as im new to it i now understand the is a lot of bs on youtube this has to be the best vid yet i have come across
I -have to say that your video is one of the best out there related with this topic. Remind to the audience that they will not make a sale if they do not spend $$$ in advertisement. I opened my store with one product and advertised and I did not make one sale. I stop campaign and start working on more atractive things and add other pages. Also I am adding more product to run the google campaign again. Hopefully I start running it today, and hope I can make sales. I have been four months paying to Shopify for website and I have made nothing while my husband feet continue getting destroyed by working in a hospital on his feet helping people for over 30 years, very frustrating and sad.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! Starting a business is always hard. It's all about staying consistent and continuing to grow. Most successful businesses have a path of failed businesses behind them. Persistence is always important when learning how to run one! Keep it up. 🙂 -Rio
This was a great tutorial. Very detailed, and gives a perfect step by step process on how to get your site up and running. Thanks for the information. It is very helpful.
I love this step by step video! I am working on a new website that is still under construction. Adding a store will be EPIC! I can not wait to get started!
Hello David, you begin the video with the mention of "Oberlo Verified Suppliers" but there was no indepth information as to how to connect with, or locate and recognize "Oberlo Verified Suppliers"? Please assist with clarity on this topic.
Great video David, It was verry helpfull. I do wanna know if you can see (as a owner and customer) how long shipping takes. Can you as a shop owner check how long a order takes to arrive to the buyer, and if so where to look?
Phenomenal video!!! I need to launch in time for the holidays and you just saved me SO MANY HOURS of courses. I can’t thank you enough. You’re so well spoken. Excellent presentation! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Muchas gracias por el video, me ayudó mucho, había estado pensando en abrirme una tienda en Shopify pero no sabia si hacerlo pero con este video me animé un poco más, gracias por los subtítulos, saludos de Venezuela
Great!!! Video!!! Bro!!! I never comment on videos but this video just helped me start my first business!!! You are gold if i ever meet you drinks on me!!
I just have some questions, as a beginner of e-commerce I don’t know how these process work? 1. How long does the shipping take for the big 4 plus Europe from China? 2. When I place an order on Oberlo, do I put the customer name or my name.
Hi again David. As easy as you demonstrated this process to be, there are going to be some of us, for varying reasons, who prefer to outsource most of what you covered. Whilst I could find a thousand people to assist by jumping onto fiverr, upwork, freeeup, freelancer.com and so on, I would love it if Oberlo had a list of recommended VAs (individuals, not companies). I’d use one of them in a heartbeat. It’s not uncommon for large brands to have accredited or recommended specialists. Cheers.
it is verry good explanation , but i can feel i need to follow your description very carefully especially the shipping the theme and the payment and the checkout tools .
hello, great tutorial! However, I cant find the 'filters' section when I am searching for products? I can only find the 'sort by' section. I want to be able to search for specific products like you did for (e-packets) etc. I'm using a UK platform,
Oberlo is simply a AliExpress product import software? After importing is recommended to make product picture little better and description and that's it?
Hello, I just wanted to know how you could set your store to show the products pricing in the currencies of the customer's countries when they want to buy from your store automatically.
thank you so much honestly, this video helped me a lot.....I just have one question, it has to do with the last thing you did in the video. About the order, so after someone places an order on your store you have to go to your oberlo account, confirm the order and make payment to the supplier ? is that what you did there ? I'm sorry I didn't quite understand that very last part
Hey Dave, really informative session. Thanks, would guys consider doing a session on how to use the burst resources of the business ideas section. I’ve been wanting to setup wp site but don’t know how to use the downloaded package. Cheers in advance
Hey there. Love this step by step thank you. I am curious though, if you find a supplier that has many products offered on their Ali express store that you would like to dropship, how do you import all of those if your not finding their exact individual listing on oberlo ?? I hope this made sense. Thanks !
Towards the end when the customer has placed an order, do we have to manually fill out their credit card details or does oberlo do this automatically? because what if we are generating thousands of sales? It is impossible to manually write each one.
Thank you so much for this video, it was very helpful and answered all my questions and doubts. The only question i still have is how does the refund process work?
Hi i am from india, after selecting the country and while searching for products i could not find the filter for e pack delivery filter as per the video. Secondly, can i select multiple countries and continents as my target market? If yes, how do i handle the shipment, pricing and delivery. Thirdly, how long does it take for a product to get delivered with an e packet delivery option. Please help me out on the same. Thank you
Hi David, great video, but you didn't explain how i can receive the money i make into my bank account, talking of setting up a payment gateway account, kindly clarify. Thank you
Hi Peter! Payment gateways are determined by Shopify, by country. Here is a list of the approved gateways you can use (bit.ly/2vaOpVm). Here are the steps on how to set it up in your Shopify store (bit.ly/2Tdenot). -David
Hi David that mean I need to pay for the product first before customer pay it? I thought customer pay the product and then It will automatically deduct from item that sell between profit and product cost
Hey Dafi! You can do both. When a customer places an order, it takes 2-3 days for that money to be deposited into your bank account. You can wait those 2-3 days and then use that money to pay the supplier. Or, you can pay the supplier right away (to reduce shipping time) and then the money from the customer will be deposited to cover the cost and profit in those 2-3 days. -David
You have done the best class on this. I am going to start my store too> Only questions I have is, when I select the images I want to use to embellish my website, should I just use stock Images from Google? Also can you repeat what's the Logo service you used? Thank you.
What will the product look like when it gets to the customer? Can we customize labels and any invoices placed inside of the package so it doesn't look like it came from China? Also, any invoices the customer receives in their package will not say what we (the seller) paid for the product, right? Should we be setting up a separate bank account for our business or can we link to our personal bank account?
Hey there! Great questions. Suppliers default packages will not be customized and not all suppliers will offer this. To find out if your suppliers do white labelling (customized labels) you can message and ask. If you're not sure how to contact a supplier, follow this help doc (bit.ly/35lafFd). Suppliers don't usually add any invoices in the package itself, with that said Oberlo will automatically attach a message to each one of your orders that asks the supplier not to include any invoices or promotional materials. If they do add this in it would show what you (the merchant) paid the supplier and most times the amount is even lower than what you paid. This is how suppliers avoid any customs fees attached to the package. For example in Canada if a package coming into the country is worth under $20 they will not charge anything extra, if it's above they have a choice to do it. I have never had to pay duty on any products from AliExpress because of this. Last but not least you should be setting up a business account for your business. It's good to keep things separate. 😀 -Kitana
@@Oberlo Could you please respond back to the question about some users not being able to see the shipping options and warehouse location on the interface, you conveniently did not answer this question if you scroll up a little?
Hey there...This is a video I have been searching for - OUTSTANDING!!! 2 questions if I may? First, you mention in reply to a viewers question that a credit card is used to pay the supplier once an order is placed from my store so that product in turn will be shipped out to my customer who ordered from my store. Is paying the supplier by use of credit card, the only method of payment available? In your tutorial, you showed mAny different methods of payment we could choose to accept when a product is purchased from the store we (you created. In other words, does the supplier also give different methods be paid by me (you) such as PayPal for example apposed to credit card? It wasn’t mentioned in your tutorial that the supplier could offer other methods, just credit card. Second, I get Oberlo did not or does not want representatives offering this information freely but....once I have a Shopify store established, is Oberlo my ONLY option to use to put products to sell on my Website? Can I attach some product from Oberlo, some from Aliexpress, some from many other sites like those. I assume I can but it wasn’t mentioned in detail like Oberlo was, which is totally understandable but, just curious if I can use multiple platforms doing it the same way you taught us if using Oberlo only? Thanks again, you did great 👍
Great video but it seems that 1 thing was missing, an a very important one in conversions, and that is the shipping times and estimated delivery. In the trial order you did in the video, there was never a shot of estimated delivery time for the customer to see or approve. Did I miss something?
On May 12th, 2022, we publicly announced that we are sunsetting Oberlo and transitioning how we enable dropshipping to a more optimal solution developed by a trusted Shopify partner, DSers. and communicated by email and within the Oberlo app. Supporting our merchants to build for the long-term and thrive on change is at the heart of what we do. Moving forward you’ll need to find a dropshipping app within the Shopify apps store and follow their instructions on how to connect products to their app. This may require some manual work but at this point in time Oberlo is no longer available as it is 100% closed permanently. If you did migrate to Dsers prior to the sunset and require assistance, please reach out to them here: help.dsers.com/oberlo-migration/ There, you will see their email address as well as their live chat support. Have a great day
Hi David, Quick question..I just created my first online store and im quite happy with it. However there is something that im doubtful about. Are our customers getting a receipt of howmuch they paid for the product, howmuch we paid for the product or they dont get it at all? Thanks, Boris
Claudia Lopez I have literally been doing great with everything until this point! Set my first ad even got an add to cart. When I just investigated why they may not have purchased I realized my shipping is not set up properly or something and now I’m so confused. I froze my ads because I didn’t want to waste them when they seemed to be performing well for my first time ever any suggestions for help with my issue?
I installed oberlo extension but still he is asking for (These settings are only used if you have our Chrome extension installed.)in supplier section Plese help.
Hi David. Thank you for the great video. Can you please explain what the step would be for an Aliexpress supplier? What if you are deciding to work with two different suppliers selling the same product? Would you just take the order, head into Aliexpress and place it with the supplier and then head back to Oberlo and mark the order as 'pending' or something? Looking forward to your feedback and thanks again for the great video.
AliExpress works as a single entity, even though there are thousands of suppliers. Which is to say that, when you place an order on AliExpress, they will work out the different supplier relationships. For you customers, they will receive two separate packages and likely a two separate times if they order two products from different suppliers. -David
Great video David. Well thought out by Oberlo. However, I did not see the shipping time involved for the customer to know when to expect package. How long does epacket take say from China to Europe which will be my initial market. Also, if say someone buys 3 items in the same purchase, all from different suppliers, how does one place those orders? Does Oberlo account for that? Does customer receive 3 different parcels? Please help. Thanks
Does your store name have to be the same as your domain? The Domain I want is available, but the store name with the same name already exist? Thanks for answering.
Hello, just to add are you able to customise certain products with your own designs. So me the designer is able to get my design printed onto my chosen item??
Hello is there a good site to get better product descriptions such as the ones you put in? Also stock photos for the actual website? You had all those fun yoga pant photos. Where do those please?
Hey Anna! You will need to write your product descriptions yourself, however we have some amazing guides to help along the way. Here's one of my favourites that goes into detail about how to make your product descriptions awesome (bit.ly/2KEJ3Xr). For stock photos, I would suggest using burst.shopify.com as it is a free stock photo website! For the yoga pants I sourced, they are all available in the Oberlo marketplace at app.oberlo.com! Hope that helps. -David
2 questions.. 1) does currency shown on the website matter? As USD recognised globally. 2) do funds received from sales directly cover ordering from suppliers ? As in is it possible to set up the account which receives sales, to also pay suppliers? Cheers
