@@eddiecardinal3615 I had a 2004 and had been driving it for over ten years (got it used in 2010). Someone rear-ended me and totaled my FX35 last month. Everyone always thought my car was newer than it was. Always looked sexy, sophisticated, and drove like dream. I wish I still had it 😭
@@VinceVicari oh man.. that's too bad. I like the style so much that I bought 2 years ago 2014 QX70 in great condition. Black on black with touring package.
I still have my FX50S that I purchased brand new in 2010. The car has almost every feature that my wife’s 2019 Lexus LX 570 has....radar cruise control, 360 degree overhead view camera, heated and cooled seats etc. I have always been a car guy, my other car is a 2009 Carrera S, and the FX with nearly 400 horse power is still a blast to drive. The first, and only mod I did was have the resonator removed. This mod opened up the exhaust for that proper V8 sound that I love...I’m a 72 year old boomer! If you can find one, grab it.
Take note people, this is how you do being 72 years old the right way. 👍 I guess I really have no reason to be feeling old at 37 when someone twice my age is still having this kind of fun. 😂
I recently moved to the country and my 2016 Accord Coupe is not really a good fit amymore. I do like the FX50 but not many around, the QX70 maybe the way to go 3.7 325hp. Only issue is no remote start
Awesome. I’m looking into a used one to have for pleasure. Possibly an 08. Found some with 120-150k miles. Read they fixed most of the earlier issues by 06. Hope it works out cause I like the fx a lit
I just picked up an 08 FX35 AWD Sport with Tech package. It’s got every option offered. I paid $10k cash. 108k miles and rides like new. I’m really happy with it. Shocked how well it’s held up and it was a one owner.
Picked up 2010 fx35 in pearl white with 166k km(103k miles) yesterday for 10,600CAD (8k2usd). Wanna enjoy it this summer and sell before winter. Hope I don’t get hooked and decide to keep it.
Most underrated car period. This is the original sport crossover. Not sure why Infiniti stopped it. It aligns with the market today as many companies are offering performance RWD based crossovers now.
I had a ‘07 FX35 with every option and it was amazing. Turned a lot of heads, very capable, dependable and reliable. Only had 1 recall (bubbling dash) and 1 TSB (axle click) otherwise drove hard for 200k miles and traveling along and NEVER left me stranded. I now own a 2017 QX70 Limited with every option and accessory. So far so good. Great in the snow, very fun and luxurious and also turns heads.
That QX70 LIMITED is HOTTTT!!! I just discovered that GEM, that interior is sick, and if you have the lane departure & IBA button, then you have every option that the QX70 offer except the paddle shifters & the suspension option....I think the LIMITED LOOKS THE BEST, ENJOY YOU GEM!!!
From all the cars I've had my '08 FX35 is the best and still going. I'll be handing it down to my daughter when she turns 16 and hopefully buy me a newer model.
I agree you don't have to worry about the pimples on the 09 to 17. You just have to deal with the dash melting and becoming a sticky furry mess that will never be clean again. Coming from some one who just purchased a 10 fx35 over the weekend
did you ? Im planning to see one to buy...but the MPG concerns me a bit with now gas prices...im a conservative on speed driver so I believe that would help
Great Video, thanks for posting! I had a 2007 FX 35, bought with 14K miles and drove it to 190K miles when I was hit by another car who failed to yield. Total loss from insurance and they gave me $6K for it. I just put down earnest money on a 2016 QX70 with 125K miles. It's $17K. I'm a bit concerned on the high mileage but the FX35 was a great car and drove it for over ten years!
I have my original FX45 with only 76k on it. It's going to be my Classic Car and I will pass it on to my Son. Thanks for the video and Thanks for sharing 🤗
Exceptional review.! When did they start putting cvts and drive by wire in? I don't want either. Curious what the most recent build without one is.. 14??
Nice video. I was already sold on the QX70 before this video now you just confirmed it for me. I will be getting one. I do have a question about with years for the QX70 had more features then the others?
I currently own 2016 QX70 3.7. I love the car and truly see the FX/QX70 as the original sport cross over. The only other car that I'd consider contending for this crown is the 4.4i/4.6is/4.8is E53 X5 Sport. I owned a 2006 4.4i X5 Sport back from 2010-2015. in 1999-2002 the v8 E53 Sport was really the only nimble performance SUV available on the market. However the E53 was a tad larger I think and felt less coup-like. I purchased my QX70 because it feels just like how the E53 felt with added sleek styling and refinement.
I'm a die hard Infiniti fan i have had a lot of Infiniti vehicles i was gonna buy a 1st gen FX preferably a FX45 but im leaning towards a 2nd gen i wish i could find a Sport model
Great video. I have a 2005 & the tilt mechanism starting making a grinding noise. The telescopic feature works like new. Do you know what it takes to fix the tilt mechanism & have you ran into this issue before? thanks in advance!
Fx50S the fan is constantly on as soon as u turn the car and the ac on, the temp outside is 45 celcius I did check the coolant is still full, any idea what it might be? Thank u
Thanks for making this video. I'm not super familiar with Infiniti vehicles but have always loved their styling. The FX looks like a great option in a preowned crossover SUV, I'll have to test drive one to compare to the X5 and MDX.
Old video but .. I have a FX45 -05 and the v8 drink oil like a alcaholic but the Infiniti says that they do drink oil . 94300miles on the clock and it drives Amazing full option and 20” rims .. .
Hi, i can' t find anything about the differences in size. Do all QX have the exact same dimensions ? For eg BMW X Series differs in regards to the number ...X3 X5....so is the qx 70 way bigger than the qx 50 or lower...since the number does not relate to the engine...?! Where does it reate to ?
Hello , you mentioned this is particular 2008 Infiniti FX35 was made in Japan . Is the 2009 designed model also made in Japan? I’m currently interested in buying a 2009 Infiniti FX35 but looking to see if those are built in Japan as well which would be a big plus for me .
Infiniti, the new QX55 is not a proper replacement for this vehicle. With the new Nissan Z being produced, please use that platform to resurrect this vehicle.
I just purchased a 2013 fx37 and if may I ask.. is there a button I can turn the 4 wheel drive off ? Also I've noticed the AWD starts blinking fast usually when I'm on the highway at high speed why does it do that? I know nothing about cars I'm tired of of going to goggle on not finding an answer:( Hope u can help Thanks!
@@johnnyv5995 Actually the AWD is on only when taking off, approx until you reach 5 MPH then it turns off and is electronicly controlled to be turned back on if it is needed to save on gas.
It operates in 2WD under normal drive conditions and will send up to 50% of the power to the front wheels when the rear wheels start to slip. The car’s engine computer controls the AWD system you cannot lock it in 2WD.
I wonder if any of these cars transmissions can go over 200k with almost no problem with proper maintenance since they come from nissan and u know nissan transmission are disposable since renault merged with nissan. I really want the QX70 but am kinda skeptical about the transmission strength.
My 2013 FX37 has 190k miles on it. Transmission is fine , just change tr fluid every 60k miles with Valvoline synthethic ATf. Only Jatco CVTs have problems not 7 speed auto.
This vehicle is what put Infiniti on the map. Whomever took the decision to discontinue it without a true replacement being introduced should have been fired on the spot! I have owned a FX35 and currently own a FX37/QX70 that I purchased in 2014, both have been very reliable. Sadly I am now looking to replace it (keep my vehicles 7 years) and have to go look elsewhere, most likely Porsche Macan S.
Both, they are all built on the Advanced FrontMidship Platform, 350Z, 370Z, G25, G37, Q50, Q60, Q70, QX70, EX35, FX35,.FX45. FX50, FX37, EX37, and 2014-2017 QX50 are all built on the same platform
I drive the FX35 2012. Dashboard peeling is still an issue, just like the FX35 2007 I previously owned. So, it's not true Nissan solved the dashboard issue we see in the Infiniti FX.
Its possible, but we have seen dozens of the newer FX/QX70 and not peeling dashboard. I have a 2013 FX37 with 80k miles and no issues on the dash at all. It was very common on the first generation. We are in a mild climate, so its possible is hotter climates the next generation FX/QX70 could still have issues with the dash peeling, but I have not seen one example myself and have been at INFINITI retailers for about 20 years, so I have seen a lot of these vehicels over the years.
QX55 turned our to be another extremely disappointing model for us Inifiniti fans :( what made FX35/37/50/QX70 so special was that amazing reliable, powerful, fun, tested and trusted, bulletproof 3.5/3.7V6 and AT transmission. How a weak and boring turbo4 peered up with notoriously unreliable and boring CVT is even remotely considered a replacement is mind blowing! not to mention discontinuation of Q60(WHY?!?!) and going all electric?! they should have fired the CEO and all the execs for ruining Infiniti brand! nobody in this sector is interested in EVs, the power grid is not ready , they are boring yet super expensive. I wish we had a true G37 and Q60 successors that had even more horsepower and technologies than M340i, S5 or TLX TypeS. Inifniti was all of that: reliable, powerful, gorgeous and very high tech. we have lost all of it :(
