i honestly forget how famous of a voice actor nolan north is, cause its like “oh cool he’s the voice actor for richtoffen” then “oh deadpool too cool” “oh yeah nathan drake too” and like hundreds more its crazy
I first hoped Nolan North would also play deadpool in the movies but I have to say Ryan Reynolds really does an amazing job as well. I have accepted them both.
They both are great... Or why exactly do you prefer Ryan Reynolds more?? Or why do you think he is better? Not gona lie sometimes I just think to myself he plays himself well playing deadpool.
Ryan is the definitive though. Without him Deadpool never would have gotten a movie and Hugh Jackman never would have worn the yellow suit. Nolan is sick too but Ryan is better.

Just like Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and doesn’t just play him in live action… Nolan North is the Deadpool of practically any incarnation or appearance of Deadpool and will always be known *as* Deadpool in Marvel video games.
I dunno why, but I kinda prefer Nolan's tone of voice in Hulk VS Wolverine more than anything else. It just sounds like the perfect balance of super crazy and super menacing while still being funny, especially since Deadpool was more of a wise-cracking villain in his debut than the fourth wall breaking anti-hero jokester we know today. Which also fits because the movie is telling the origins of Wolverine and his time in the Weapon X program, with Deadpool being a part of it as well along with other characters.
For me, it was hearing about the (1st) movie, and the video game. I wasn't old enough to watch/play either of them. But actually SEEING Deadpool, yes, that was my introduction, LEGO Marvel Superheroes, a classic video game.

Marvel vs Capcom Deadpool is the one embedded into my brain the most. Hearing Nolan scream stuff like "HALF GUN WON'T SHOOT!" lives rent free in my head.
Every time I hear anyone other than Nolan North or Ryan Reynolds play Deadpool, it just sounds wrong to me, no matter how good a job they actually do. Clearly the secret is having an alliterative name.

Was Hulk vs Wolverine his first time voicing Deadpool you could tell he still needed to touch up the voice but after that he got his voice down perfectly

I genuinely think if things went a different way, Nolan could’ve actually played him in live action. He’s about the right height, clearly has incredible voice performances which for a masked character is everything, and never fails with his humor which again for this character would be everything. Sure it won’t actually happen, but cool to think about.
