Loved it. Well put together. Tom Cruise is bonafide movie star. Jennifer Connelly is hot as. The supporting cast were exceptional. I give it a 10

I hope it won’t take ten long years for Top Gun 3 to come out.

4/10 on excitement for Top Gun 3. Not sure where the story can go from here and there is a higher likelihood of them ruining the movie

Movie logic. And people don't actually want to use nukes, they're always waiting for someone else to use theirs first so they can use theirs in response.

When early in 80's Israel bombed Iraqi nuclear powerplant (with casualties of 8 Iraqi technicians and one French), it also didn't triggered nuclear war. Just resulted in some international and political angry reactions. Without major retaliatory military action nor full scale war..

No. He never clapped, you could see he felt just as bad as the rest that Maverick was gone. John Hamm even made his voice crack for the scene, while maverick might annoy him Cyclone like him wants everybody to come home safe. He just knows that he has to put logic first to get the other 5 pilots home safe over losing all 6 if they were to go back for Maverick. When your the boss you have to make calls you don’t like and you can see the pain in cyclones face as he makes that decision for them to continue heading back to the ship. And the relief and disbelief in his voice when he says Maverick after the f-14 is super sonic, because he knows there’s only one man good enough out there to fly that baby home with Rooster on it.
