Evgeni Malkin's son names Penguins line up in his dad's 1000th NHL game (20 nov 2022) 

That was awesome, had me tearing up. You could see how proud he was of his dad, but even more so you could see how Malkin was proud of his son.

I never played pro sports but did coach my sons in baseball. They're 2 years apart and played on separate teams but for one game the younger one got called up. Hi brother was pitching, and I had to go to the mound. His younger brother walked over from first and ask casually, "What's up guys?" I almost broke down haha Dads and sons. Congrats Gino on a great career and what looks like a fine son.

I don't know who this was a bigger thrill for him or his son! As a proud dad, this is beautiful to watch.

No better feeling in the world as an athlete. When I won my last strongman competition 10 years ago my oldest daughter was only 4 at the time. When they introduced me as the overall winner she ran away from my wife and ran up to me on the podium. Not quite like Malkins son calling out the line up but it was a cool memory that we still talk about today. We got the pic of us together on top of the podium with the trophy in my garage gym.
