Christians talking about evidence to faith is laughable, you are talking abt were other religions got tinz wrong without talking abt were ur got tinz wrong, jesus said he is coming soon, this is 2021 yrs later, in wat world does soon mean 2021 yrs later? ur Bible said the tower of Babylon was almost at the heaven but God stop it so they wnt reach God, but 2day we have jets and rockets that shoot out of the clouds but no heaven is seen there, this is why I don't like religious people u r all the same bird
@@walewhite9600 bro, you literally didn't understand any of scripture, God saw them building a tower to "heaven" but he never said they were getting close to heaven, their efforts would've done nothing , God just realized how much humans could get done because of the same language, and since he realized that it was usually for wicked reasons, he gave them a language barrier, now we all speak in different languages

Hey I am an Aussie and are lucky to see the platypus whenever I want, lol.....and I will be thinking of this now, thanks. I just want to say thanks so much for putting this kind of content on RU-vid, it’s so very helpful for me learning and finding answers to all I have been seeking. Its really helped me, considering I grew up in an atheist home.. I am forever thankful for this video.

God bless you Mike, this is so greatly appreciated. The acronym is extremely helpful. As Christians, I feel like our first job is to spread the Gospel with the help of the Spirit to anyone that will listen. Having tools like this to help remember the important points/arguments of an event over 2000 years ago is very necessary, as most of us live pretty normal lives and don't have the time to practice apologetics all day. Being able to "call forth" important information when witnessing to someone is probably the most effective way to get someone to at least think twice about what they believe about Jesus. I love you man, I hope your channel continues to grow!
Excellent presentation, Mike! I myself have to be reminded of these facts whenever doubt creeps in, because they are by far the best evidence of Christianity. There's no rational way of explaining the rise of Christianity apart from the physical resurrection of Jesus. Expect many hostile atheistic comments in the future on this video :P
Same enemy tryna tempt me ab other religions and putting doubts in my head so now instead of trying to find out why the other religions make no sense I’m trying to see if resurrection is valid and if it is than that’s all I need because that proves Jesus is GOD and every religion false no matter what kind of proof they have.
if Jesus rise why didn't the whole of Isreal see him? it makes no sense, why didn't he show up to the jews who doubted him? lol what's the point of risen if u r going to hide among only ur believers lol, beside are u saying till today jesus still as a physical body in heaven ? a body that came out of a woman lol

Regarding the women discovering the empty tomb first. Time and time again in the Gospels we see the desciples debating which of them was the greatest among them. We even see a certain one personally claiming that he was loved by Jesus the most!! This proves that they had a high level of competition between them. If the resurrection was a false claim, these men most definitely wouldn't have said, yea it was the women who discovered the tomb empty first. Not even with a male desciple present! The idea of that is just laughable, concidering the character of these guys!

I remember watching a documentary about the history of crucifixion and Jesus and it hit home just how bad Jesus got it. Another little factoid, a lot of people think that people on the way to being crucified would bring the whole assembled cross, but in actuality, they would just be required to haul one part, and then the other was already at the crucifixion site and they assembled it there. Frankly, it's a miracle that Jesus was still able to walk all that wall that way (IIRC it's over a mile) with him carrying a piece of wood that had to have been at least 20 pounds and having his back ripped open to the bone. The blood loss alone should have done him in. God came down in the flesh and experienced torture BECAUSE HE LOVES US SO MUCH. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice!
Hi Mike, love your ministry and all the ways you endeavor to serve Christ faithfully. One of the qualities that attracts me to your videos is how charitably and fair-minded you tackle difficult and nuanced topics. Especially loved your video on Bill Johnson. I've never followed him personally, though Francis Chan began associating with him and I saw numerous people saying Bill was an unsaved heretic with dangerously unbiblical beliefs. However, whenever I would search for examples of Bill espousing misguided theology- all I could find where individuals saying "Bill advocates for XYZ" or "believes in ABC", without anyone actually providing any evidence. As you can imagine, it grew extremely frustrating. That's why, when I found your video on him (the first video of yours I ever watched), I found your approach of trying to be as fair as possible so refreshing. It's that quality of fair-mindedness though that I find to be lacking in this particular message. More specifically, there's an over-reliance on Scripture to support claims made in Scripture. In point #3, only 4 sources are quoted to support the claim- all of which are from Scripture (1 Corinthians 15, Luke 24, John 20, Acts 1). While you do reference, at 34:22, that "the vast majority of historians believe all of these [appearances] to be true based on normal ways of verifying an historical claim", that's not evidence. Historians examine evidence and make conclusions based on the evidence they examine. However, their conclusions are never evidentiary themselves- they are merely best guesses based on the examined evidence. A conclusion is not evidence. If there is indeed agreement among the vast majority of historians, including non-Christian ones, about the veracity of the claims made regarding post-crucifixion appearances of Christ- it would be much more compelling to present the extrabiblical evidence that the non-Christian scholars believe points to that (as we know non-Christian scholars wouldn't rely on Scripture to evaluate the historicity of Scripture). Plus, if we're going to treat scholarly agreement as evidence for the resurrection of Christ, then scholarly agreement against any other claims of Scripture must similarly be treated by us as evidence against those claims- otherwise we're not being intellectually consistent. Regarding point #4, plenty of the same things could be said of Joseph Smith and 11 of his followers. The group known as the "three witnesses" publicly swore to others that an angel appeared to them and confirmed the authenticity of the supposed golden tablets. The group of "eight witnesses" claimed that, on a separate day, they personally held and examined the tablets and testified that Joseph Smith was telling the truth. Despite this, years later many of them were excommunicated from the entire Mormonism community by Joseph Smith for differing reasons- though all of them appear to have finished their lives standing by their claims despite little perceivable self-interest for doing so. Additionally, your point about Muhammad not putting himself at risk cannot be applied to Joseph Smith and a handful of those 11 followers- who repeatedly placed themselves in legal jeopardy and were ultimately killed in response to their illegal actions. If we're going to say point #4 ("violence endured by the apostles" (i.e. claimed eyewitnesses)) is compelling evidence for Christ's resurrection, then we also have to grant the same to Mormonism. My main point with this is: just because someone dies for something they say they witnessed doesn't mean what they say is true. There are people who deceive themselves throughout their whole life. There are also other people who know the truth, though, as irrational as it is, would rather die than face the humiliation of acknowledging they've been perpetrating a lie on everyone else. Lastly, want to clarify- I'm in 100% agreement that it's factually true that Christ was raised from the dead. He is my Lord and King of my life and my intent with all of this is not to argue that Christ isn't our resurrected Redeemer (He is and He's changed my life so much!), but rather to highlight possible ways that we (i.e. Christians as a whole) can, with God's leading and assistance, win over even more lost hearts and minds by minimizing areas where unbelievers might raise avoidable objections that distract from our stronger arguments (such as your other points, especially #1). Love you brother! We don't know each other now, but looking forward to fellowshipping and rejoicing together in Heaven over God's goodness!
Wow, I'd heard the platypus story before but not that they still didn't believe it even after seeing a live one! That's the 1st I heard that part of the story.
Each one of your lessons I click on and listen makes me think, THIS is the best ever, then the next one comes...Some super great things to drop in conversations when witnessing. Love it. Thanks brother!
This is great and all but where can I actually find all of the websites and or places where all of this history is actually located? I keep hearing about these amazing factual historic evidences but no one ever says “and if you want to take a look at them for yourselves then click here to find all of it. This is how I came to the conclusion.” At the end of the day people want to see exactly what you were looking at when you concluded on what you we're talking about. And I’m not trying to be mean or anything but those who actually want to take a real look at the actual historic evidence are not going to be convinced from people just talking about the evidence. This is what I’m looking for: - the exact historical sources you were referring to, in their raw forms. - multiple (nonpro or hostile) sources that concluded through the historical evidence that these things did indeed happen (Not saying that Christian sources are illegitimate but a non-Christian would think “Oh, it came from a biased source 🙄”). This would help me out a lot. Thanks and have a great rest of your day.
If a nonpro or hostile source concluded that Jesus died and rose bodily from the dead, but did not believe it unto salvation, wouldn't that seem odd? Do you know of any scholar today who intellectually believes this, but does not believe in Jesus with their hearts?
I've seen the platypus analogy at work. There was a Reddit post that asked atheists, agnostics, and every other nonbeliever if Christianity could be proven without a doubt to be true) such as God exists, Jesus is divine and the resurrection happened) would you follow Christianity. There were a couple of yes's but there was a lot of no's and was also a lot of "it depends on which God it is." If it's the Old Testament God no, but if it's the New Testament God yes. And since the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament are the same God, basically 98% was no. So yeah the platypus analogy works well.
@@walewhite9600 If you read the Bible you would know that "heaven" is not some place where float around on some fluffy clouds. Heaven, is described in a lot of detail (not everything but it does give us a picture of it) and is not what pop culture makes it out to be (because most people in pop culture who talk about it have never taken a second to read what the Bible says and just makes it up). But Heaven is called the New Jerusalem. And will actually be when God redeems this fallen world and restores earth into its fullness. So Heaven will be this world made a new - made perfect by God, and made to be incorruptible where sin is eradicated and we live in the light of God. We will have our restored and incorruptible bodies (restored and recreated into into the fullness and perfection that God intended) and we will live in God's presence. We will have our resurrected bodies. the current heavens and earth (Gen1:1) will be destroyed and replaced with new heavens and a new earth “where righteousness dwells” (2 Peter 3:12-13) We will have the responsibility to tend the garden as Adam and Eve did before the fall. And we will be with God for all eternity - those who recognize they are sinners, repent of their sins, trust in Jesus, and walk with Him in a loving relationship! "Revelation21:1-5 " “Then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death” or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.’ He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!
@@TinkerBell-bt6vu hope you know that the Bible contradicts itself in place, so you are quoting places that support your new Jerusalem, while ignoring place that shows there is no new Jerusalem, have u forgotten the story of Lazarus and the rich man? or were Jesus said he was going to heaven to prepare a place for his people, all this doesn't sound like a new Jerusalem on earth, it sounds like a place up in the sky, and u must understand the Bible was written in the space of thousands of years, so the people alive when exodus or psalm was written, is different from those alive when revelation was written, so it's completely ridiculous to claim that dose in exodus agree with the writing of revelation, it's people 2 that is just creating narratives, it's extremely racist to claim that heaven will be referred to as Jerusalem, rily? why not the New brazil or the New Nigeria, why is it called new Jerusalem, so those from Jerusalem can feel superior or special than others?
@@walewhite9600 it's definately not a "contradiction." You DO know that in reality it is possible for more than 1 thing to be true at a time correct? And that the Bible speaks of an "intermediary heaven" of sorts where it says "Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." 2 Corinthians thians 5:8. It is also known as "Abraham's bosum." And we don't get a ton of detail about it but we do know it is an intermediary state where believers get to be with the Lord in a spiritual state ...UNTIL the time comes when Jesus returns (also commonly referred to as the "second coming." And when Jesus returns that is when the old earth will be wiped away, and ALL of creation being made anew on this very earth and that is when the New Jerusalem wil be created. We have a very detailed description of this in Revelation and other books such as Daniel and Ezekiel explain all of this also. But it is explained also in the New Testament - Paul and John. And if you just use your logic and reasoning skills you would see that this is necessary to have an intermediary place (which is nothing but a blink of an eye in the grand scheme of things), because obviously the New Jerusalem comes when the current earth is restored. But since we are here as of now, that isn't possible. You seem to think these are "contradictions" but just reading the Bible you will see that there is a PROGRESSION in time. It's very reasonable and logical.
I might add to the significance of the blood and water pours out part, from what I understand is this is proof that his heart had stopped beating a while before they pierced him with the spear because blood it's just a red liquid, it is red blood cells suspended in plasma which is a clear straw colored liquid. This means that when the heart stops, the blood cells settle out of the plasma because it's not moving anymore. This is also why when they are doing post mortem on a dead body they can tell what position the body was laying in because there is what looks like a huge bruise on the surface that would have been in contact with the ground. This is called post mortem lividity. This is why I believe Christianity is true and the only true faith, because it's logical and scientificly provable! Amen 🙏
Hey Mike... was it also true that Josephus also confirmed he was dark-skinned, disfigured/hunchbacked, and unibrowed? This would also back up Isaiah 53? I’ve read this but not sure of the authenticity
@@farmercraig6080 While the Shroud of Turin most probably gives a reasonable glimpse at what Jesus actually looked like, He most likely looked like the average Jewish man alive during the first century because Judas had to identify who He was by giving Him a kiss. Interestingly enough, different ethnicities depict Jesus as looking like a man from their particular culture.
Hey Mike! I have a couple of questions for you in regard to the witnesses. How would you respond to someone who says, “What Paul said in 1st Corinthians 15 isn’t true because it doesn’t match the gospels. The gospels say that Jesus appeared to the women first but Paul said Jesus appeared to Cephas first.” And then what would you say to someone who says that what Paul said in 1st Corinthians 15 was just “hearsay” because he said Jesus appeared to 500 people, but the gospels don’t record that. So he either made it up or overheard it from someone and it isn’t true. He also didn’t mention names of any of the 500. Just curious to hear your thoughts on this!
Mike, I appreciate your scholarly approach. Thanks for being grounded that way. I agree with the principle that God wants us to think and reason and not believe only on the basis of feelings. Could you, please, explain your claim that 1Cor 15 was written only 5 years after the crucifixion? I've checked many sources and while the dates for other New Testament books vary significantly, all the sources I found confidently list the dates for 1,2 Corinthians with little variation between A.D. 54 and 57, about 25 years after the crucifixion. That still confirms the fact that many eyewitnesses could still be alive, so I am not questioning the conclusion, but just the claim.

Hey Mike I’ve never heard of Jesus being buried under 70 pounds of spices. If the woman discovered the tomb empty, did they dig up all of those spices to make sure? This confused me.
John 19:39-40 "39Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds in weight. 40So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews." (ESV)
This is an excellent presentation of evidence for the resurrection of Jesus. Thank you! One tiny comment about Paul's name (and we loved what you shared in that context about a changed life). I think Jews at the time, like modern Jews in the diaspora, had both a Hebrew and a Hellenised name. The shift to Paul's Hellenised name (Paul instead of Shaul) comes in Acts 13.13. He is still referred to by his Hebrew name, Shaul, after his conversion, up until that point of shift. It's such a sticky little point, I only mentioned it because I'm thinking of unsaved Jews with their beautiful Hebrew private names, who I'm hoping are going to listen to your superb exposition thinking , "Well, what's my name going to be changed to, 'Antiochus'?" 😊 Listening from Israel, sorry for mentioning an unimportant point. Seriously, it wouldn't put off anyone sincerely seeking truth. You're very sensitive to Jewish issues and seeking Jewish salvation, we really appreciate that. Well researched, excellent presentation. Well done!
Annie Nissim thank you for your wonderful points. I think you are totally right! I only recently began recognizing that about Paul's name and I appreciate the correction. Unfortunately I can't go back and edit the video but I will go forward with that knowledge. God bless you!
Not only does Hebrew have only one word describing the area between the hand & the entire length of an arm -- "yod" (יד), but it also has just one word that refers to both the feet & the legs, "regel" (רֶגֶל).
You know after hearing and visualizing the fullness of the torture Jesus went through and still carry his cross after to be nailed to it, amazes me that someone like brandan robertson can sit there and say Jesus was feminine.
Excellent points, I just testified to my long distance friend over the phone who is a Buddhist, that the reason I know that Christ is real and Buddha is not because I now feel the presence of God in my life and in my body, but I never felt anything when I believed in reincarnation. The propensity of presenters of this topic to give up answering the "how do we know that" question half way through the presentation, and simply start quoting the Bible like it was on the news yesterday, is astonishing
Hey Mike, when it comes to make the resurrection reasonable, it often comes down to the testimony of the disciples by their life. Nobody would die for something, if they know it's untrue. So they had to at least think, that it happened. But where is the evidence for the martyrdom of the apostles? I am very unsure of this. I am not even sure, if there is even good evidence for Peter ever being in Rome. There are some accounts of it but they are contradicting each other and partially even the Bible. I mean, it would be great, but I can understand if you have no time/better to do, than making videos about the evidence for Peter in Rome and the Martyrium of the apostles. But maybe you know good books about this topic, which you could recommend? I would be very greatful! Your ministry was really a great help in the past and now, too! God bless!
Sean McDowell did his PhD on this I think, or wrote a book on it, my memory is fuzzy but he did go into it. We do not have the same level of proof for all the deaths of the apostles, some we have very little, for some much more. Check him out!
Thanks for explaining what a lie is at 5:23 lol Unfortunately so many people believe truth is subjective & we actually need to point out that some things can be untrue...
Amazing video. It really brought me clarity. I've binge watched your videos the past couple of days, they are just so helpful and informative. @@elijahd6936 Well that's great. Tell that to the millions of people who believe every word of Genesis actually happened. Your interpretation is interesting though. What's bizarre here is that if the interpretation is correct it essentially means that Jesus was already planned to come on earth thousands of years before he did, all the way back in Genesis when the fall occurred. Would that mean God planned the fall so that he could plan Jesus to save them from sin?
And yet they don’t do the same criticism for the fictional prophet Mohammed and Islam Islamic Scholars have known for a long time there was in the 7th Century 1. It is historically well recorded that there was no cosmopolitan Mecca, it was just a hamlet with very little water, and not on any trade route, and the various Qurans don’t describe Mecca, and it wasn’t on any map until 900 AD 2. Medina was insignificant 3. No historical record of a Mohammed of Islam in Arabia 4. Mohammed was a title used by Arab Christians to refer to Christ, first recorded on a Christian coin in 661 5. The first three Mohammed’s in the various Qurans refer to Jesus, the Mohammed that Muslims think of today is a later 8th century invention by the Abbasids 6. Abdul al Malik and his brother were both anti-trinitarian Christians and used Christian symbols I.e. Christian crosses 7. The Dome of the Rock built by Abdul al Malik was not a Mosque originally, it was a anti-trinitarian Christian Church, with Christian symbols and the Mohammed’s on the Inner ambulatory’s refer to Christ, and indeed Christ is written on the inner ambulatory 8. No Islamic Quran; 9. The proto-Quran was written in Aramaic and old Arabic as a lectionary by Arab Christian preachers, unfortunately the Abbasids turned it into the various Qurans used today 10. Because by the 8th century Aramaic was barely used, there were many mistranslations, e.g., it’s not virgins in heaven it’s grapes etc. 11. The diacritics weren’t added to the various Qurans until the 9th and 10th centuries, so scholars can’t be sure that what’s in the Qurans is correct! (Ref; the Inarah group of Islamic scholars) 12. Islam evolved over a period of 200 years from an anti trinitarian Christian ideology which the Abbasids put the seal on.
"they walk right past Jesus's tomb and they go to the wrong tomb, they look inside and they go "it's empty!' -and then Christianity starts" AHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHAHHAHAAHHAA I'M DYING
Ashley Brown: you are forgetting the Roman Centurion guards that would have been killed themselves for letting Him go. What evidence do you have for them going to 'a different tomb' (a luxury not scattered everywhere). It's plain for all to see - you have Not read The Bible.
And while plenty die for the false religion of hatred, Islam, the disciples weren’t simply raised on a belief. They lived it. If Jesus wasn’t true they wouldn’t endure being boiled alive and sawed in half. Paul, who HATED Jesus, wouldn’t then devote his entire life to serving Him.
@@ActionJaxonH to add onto your point: Whilst other people may die for their faith (like Muslims for example who believe that they should be martyrs), they die for their faith because, as you said, they were raised that way, and simply taught to believe this way, rather than having been in the time of Muhammad to actually witness it. So they are practically naive and deceived. But the disciples, on the other hand, were eyewitnesses who saw the risen Jesus. So if Jesus didn’t die or didn’t actually resurrect, they would’ve known this, and would not have been so adamant to die for their faith, willingly walking towards it, as church history records. But the fact that they all did this without hesitation is yet another reason to trust that the event actually occurred, which even converted enemies of Jesus, like Saul (Paul) or tarsus. Furthermore, the disciples Saying that Jesus is God would’ve been blasphemous in that culture, so it’s abundantly clear that they really had no alternate motives, or thirsted for power, as they knew they would be hated and killed for this belief. Thus we see that the difference is their witness and the effect that had on their devotion. I think Mike mentioned all that I said in this video, but I thought I might add onto your comment for anyone who might of missed it or wanted more info 😄
Theu lived in the same district they were aware who he was talking off, he wasnt writing it for future readers he was writing it for those of the church who already knew what was occurring.
The killing of apostles is found in books early Christians considered too unreliable to be included in bible. How did you determine recanting would allow the apostles to live?

So Mathew's account of the soldier and the stone were true and Mathew is a historical document. So when Mathew alone says the saints arose from their graves and marched to Jerusalem, that was also true? If there the solider(s) guarding the tomb and stone were real were the women planning on creating a Pully to move it? After they knocked out the solider(s)
Why were the women headed there with spices meant to anoint a dead body if the tomb was sealed and it has a heavy stone in place that women wouldn't be able to move on their own? Makes no sense.
Can you offer the citation from the Talmud about the Stolen Body Theory. I think you may have made a mistake and inaccurately ascribed this to the Talmud.
Death came into the world thru sin. EVERYONE has sinned, big or small. God is a just, He’s perfect and sin like crime cannot go unpunished by a good judge. We will all be judged for our crimes against God. Doing good cant erase the bad. If ur charged with robbery in court the charges aren’t dropped bc you gave the money to charity. You’re in court for your crime, you could’ve done a million good deeds they won’t matter. U won’t be set free bc ur sorry either, u should be, your punishment stands. On judgment day every person will be held accountable and the sentence is death and ETERNAL separation from God in hell. But God is merciful and He loves us more than we can understand, but sin cannot go unpunished. So God became Man. He lived a perfect life and never sinned, then He willingly died a horrific death for us, taking the punishment we deserve. Just before passing He said, “it is finished.” Our debt was paid in full. But thats not it He rose from the dead, defeating death, proving that He is who He says He is and like He took our place ,we take His place as children of God. IF we Confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved, given eternal life and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the father except thru Him.
I've had an atheist tell me there was no such thing as proof as science doesn't deal in proof only evidence and that there is no evidence for the bible. So then I gave him some evidence and he answers back with "that doesn't prove anything! You need proof!" 🤦
@@maow9240 at the end of the day I think it's important to remember Paul's words. "I determine to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified" and all that goes along with that. I have a very hard time with conversation and social awkwardness so it's hard to emotionally connect with people and God's been showing me that it really doesn't matter how much knowledge I acquire, without love it is all useless.
@@paulbeahm3891 true but Jesus himself said " And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." Sometimes all you can do is share the truth with people and if they don't wanna hear it then move on to those that will listen. I think I outgrew my social awkwardness but I myself find it hard to love people. The only person I actually close to is my wife.
I am a believer, in a Creator/Designer. I am a believer in Christ. However...it is puzzling, that few crucified bodies have been found in Jerusalem. As common as historians, claim the Romans crucified victims...one would think, there would be ample evidence of such. Why isn't there? The speaker in this video even points out, that the Roman soldiers were trained killers, and were used to crucified bodies. So...in that light...I find it, (as the one historian said), "...astonishingly little evidence of nails piercing the feet..." Why is it...there have only been found, (4 bodies), (in 1968), that have pierced ankles? I am a believer...but sometimes speakers present contradictory evidence themselves...and do not even realize it. The speaker here claims crucifixion was common...that Roman soldiers were trained in this, yet he points out that only 4 bodies have been found with pierced feet. And the part that is odd...is the speaker points out, that it is 'astonishingly' so. I don't know. Just seems to me...that as common as crucifixion supposedly was...there should be ample evidence of such.

@@MikeWinger Hey Mike. I know you put this video out a while ago. I was curious if there was anyway to get a copy of this PowerPoint. I tried messaging you on Facebook, but it looks like I cannot send you Facebook messages.
⚡️⚡️⚡️What else does the Bible teach about physical body or flesh? Apostle Paul himself stated: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption“. (1 Corinthians 15:50 KJV) Therefore, no physical body which is a corruptible biological entity can have any association or entrance into the Kingdom of God. After all, the Bible teaches that: “God is a Spirit” (John 4:24 KJV) and not a physical body, and that the Word which is Christ himself had existed as a Spirit (a nonphysical entity) long before even the creation of what we call earth. Flesh and blood (the physical body) were not important to Jesus at all. The Bible teaches that all that Jesus taught 2000 years ago were all revealed by the Father. Jesus made sure to tell Simon that flesh and blood are not important in this equation--not even his: “Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 16:17 NIV) Everything Jesus Christ taught and spoke, about his flesh and body had a spiritual meaning and cannot be taken literally even though Jesus Christ was using “literal words” (check the Greek lexicon) related to “flesh and blood”: “Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” (John 6:53-58 NIV) Those who took him “literally”, later on they were accused of being cannibals. Read the history and this will become clear to you. Therefore, much of the language that Jesus used must be viewed and interpreted allegorical or symbolic. Jesus taught that it is the spirit that matters and not the flesh: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life.” (John 6:63 NIV) Again Jesus is emphatic about the non-importance of the physical body And instead focused on the importance of the Spirit. People had a very hard time understanding the symbolic and allegorical language that Jesus used--this frustrated Jesus often and said: “Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.” (John 8:43 NIV) The phrase, “unable to hear” that Jesus Christ uses is obviously not a literal physical hearing but the inability to hear his words with spiritual hearing. Consider this that if people 2000 years ago had a hard time understanding Jesus Christ, there is no wonder why there are over 43,000 conflicting sects within Christianity. This should humble all Christians. What else can we learn from the topic of resurrection and spiritual truths? Well, Mary Magdalene couldn’t recognize Jesus after the resurrection: “At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” (John 20:14-15 NIV) If this was a “literal”, glorified, bodily resurrection of Jesus, why did he appear like the gardener and was not recognized by Mary? Apparently Jesus did not look glorified, he just looked like someone else--not a shining angel, but like the gardener. We also read that the Lord Jesus Christ appeared quite differently to apostle Paul: About noon as I came near Damascus, suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’ “ ‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked. “ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied.” (Acts 9:4 KJV) Others who were with Paul did not see anything. A physical body cannot be invisible. Moreover, physical bodies cannot go through doors and walls either, but yet, Jesus appears into a room with the disciples when all doors were locked: “A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” (John 20:26 NIV) So, what is my point? The point is Jesus Christ can do whatever he wishes. He can dematerialize from one place and materialize in another place. He can appear as a flash of light from heaven to one person, or as a gardener to another, and he can even eat a piece of fish right in front of you to prove he can do anything. Therefore, we are not questioning what Christ can or cannot do, however, when it comes to the physical resurrection, all the stories we read about his appearances, do not indicate the essential characteristics of the physical body of Jesus Christ as the flesh that he had before his crucifixion, and the Bible in numerous verses makes this very clear. More importantly, if we believe that Jesus Christ has been great eternally in the past without a physical body and long before he was even born, then, he was not in need of a physical body after his crucifixion either, just as Moses and Elijah didn’t need physical bodies either, when they both had appeared to Jesus Christ on the Mount Tabor and then vanished from the sight. Why should anyone assume that after Jesus Christ’s physical birth from the womb of Mary, he had, forever, trapped his true eternal reality in some physical body whether it is assumed to be a regular body or some so called glorified body? To insist on this, is tantamount to limiting Jesus Christ to our earthly limitations. The Bible makes it clear that the resurrection of Jesus has much deeper spiritual meanings and should never be interpreted as a literal physical event. Please note that stating that Christ’s resurrection was a spiritual event and not a physical one, doesn’t mean Jesus Christ was incapable of the supernatural powers--it is that Jesus didn’t need any form of a physical body, and that his greatness transcends beyond any connection with the physical reality. Moreover, in numerous passages, the body of Christ has been interpreted to be the body of the believers or the church itself, and therefore, the resurrection is a spiritual reality which demonstrates the spiritual triumph of the cause of Christ, symbolized as a “body” which is none other than the body of the believers rising to promulgate his cause (the body) fearlessly: “And the church is his body”… (Ephesians 1:23 NLT) …”and build up the church, the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12 NLT) “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.“ (Colossians 1:18 MLT) “And we are members of his body.” (Ephesians 5:30 NLT) “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.“ (1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT) Resurrection of all the manifestations of God are spiritual in nature and not physical or material. I have studied the Bible and continue to study it. “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing.….” (John 6:63 NIV)
Actually the opposite Job 26:7 ESV He stretches out the north over the void and hangs the earth on nothing. Talking about the earth being in a void also known as space
You don't need to have a doctorate in theology to know God's plan and Jesus promises to those who put their trust in him.The apostle Paul clearly stated that if Jesus did not rose from the dead then there is no resurrection and therefore we (Christians who put their faith in Christ) are to be pitted!.I rather believe Paul and the rest of the apostles who claimed to be eyewitnesses of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ resurrection and ascension to heaven. If Jesus did not literally resurrected from the dead then the apostles were liars and deceivers, I don't think so!. The Gospel is based on this promise:to those who repent from their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ, Jesus promised these 3 things: 1-their sins will be forgiven 2-They will be resurrected from the dead in a new incorruptible body and 3-will have eternal life in Gods kingdom!. Let God and Jesus Our Lord be truthful and faithful and let man be called a liar and deceitful.I for one choose to trust and believe the all Mighty all knowing God and his Holly Son Jesus Christ.
