The sisters' reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie's building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting the sisters into a primal battle for survival as they’re faced with the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

You are indeed a badass Kassie you managed to defend yourself against a deadite and of course made it to the end with badass Beth so when both of them return with enough training both Kassie and Beth the badasses will be more prepared to fight against the deadites as well:).
