Dr. Stephen Strange uses the Eye to escape to the Lost Library of Cagliostro. He meets librarian O'Bengh and learns that he can gather enough power to break an absolute point by absorbing magical beings.
After centuries of absorbing magical beings, Strange is told by a dying O'Bengh that he is still not powerful enough because he is only half of himself. When Strange escaped from the Ancient One, she used the power of the Dark Dimension to split him into two alternate versions, with one Strange studying the books of Cagliostro to become an evil version dubbed "Strange Supreme" and a good version accepting Palmer's death.
After a battle between the two, Strange Supreme overpowers the good Strange and absorbs him. Then, Strange Supreme uses his enhanced powers to reverse Palmer's death. The paradox begins tearing reality apart, and the universe is destroyed.

The reason why the universe got destroyed is because the ancient one had to split timelines in one universe. Which slowly over the 300 years caused the universe to collapse as they both had time stones and were using it at the same time.

Movie literally focused more on Wanda and showed her too overpowered that at one point I thought I am watching Wandavision's sequel or Scarlet Witch's movie. That is an impressive feat for someone who is just an ordinary man, but he has been imbued with so many mystical powers and abilities, that few characters can match up against the Sorcerer Supreme.

After seeing Multiverse of Madness, I’m surprised Supreme Strange didn’t also pursue the Darkhold and the Infinity Stones. Hes already ridiculously overpowered to a crazy extent and seeing Wanda’s reality warping powers, Strange could have definitely pulled it off had he gone further. I know that Marvel wanted to portray that Supreme Strange could never change the Nexus event, but they literally have all the MacGuffins in the world to allow him to be able to bring Kristen back. The infinity stones a lone probably would have been enough tbh

This one episode was by far for me the best episode that any Marvel show has put out, including the Moonknight series which I loved as well. This showcases his character so well, how easily he can turn to the dark just from the wrong intentions. The monsters and energies are so creative while having the weight that comes with the feeling of losing the light of your world.

I'm not so sure he was destroyed. He is called upon by the Watcher to fight Ultron, and he is very much this Strange, in this form, with these abilities. He also knows of the Darkhold, so, he may have hopped universes at the last second.

It's not just that they share the use of magic (although different kinds), they literally have abilities that cancel each other out, like Supreme's raw power gets absorbed by Scarlet witch, scarlet witch's magic gets absorbed by Supreme Strange.

It was because Supreme Strange tried reversing the death of Christine Palmer, which in his universe was an "Absolute Point" because it was THE event that set him on the path to becoming Sorcerer Supreme in the first place. That's why Christine kept dying no matter what Strange did, including having a random heart attack on the dance floor, because she NEEDED to die to motivate him to become a Sorcerer. Not to mention that even if it wasn't, it was his whole motivation for doing everything that he did in the first place, so reversing it would give him no reason to go down the same path, which means Christine dies again...which means Strange goes down the same path to try and save her...which means he saves her...which means he doesn't go down that path...which means she dies...etc, etc, etc ad infinitum. By cancelling her death, he locked himself into a paradox loop. It's that paradox that destroyed the universe, because it just couldn't handle it.

bunch of folk saying he isn't evil. It's textbook Machiavellian. His desires and purpose trump all. And unfortunately, when that means others and the world are harmed to "create" his utopia, it does in fact make him evil. especially such large scale destruction. I love dr strange. But this version destroyed an entire universe. You cannot say his ends justified his means and purified him from being called evil. If destroying everything is not evil? then what is evil? Keeping it running? supporting and enabling life?

This Doctor Strange Supreme did not even used Darkhold like Wanda. This is more evil for a love on Christine than Wanda's love for her children. This Strange is more of a madness. So this Doctor Strange is much more applicable in Multiverse of Madness.

They could have brought a doctor strange centric villain or the most evil version of strange himself to be the multiversal threat. And even explore the possibilities of what of doctor strange turned evil, how much of an impact it would have on reality and on his own morality...thus making a callback to Ancient one's quote "I never saw your future, only its possibilities"...it would have been a great character development. But what can you expect from an asshole named kevin feige who said wanda doesn't need a white man teach her anything...

Plus we've also seen the tentacle monster in 2 different timelines. There's no way they won't hold a grudge and attack other Strange's timelines since Supremes timeline is destroyed. I hope the writers don't recreate Supreme Stranges story so this theory can work lol

This is all conjecture but I'm thinking that for Strange to be a sorcerer in this universe, Christine must be dead. To wield and use the infinity stones would require sorcerer powers; to use it to bring back Christine would render him unable to use it- therefore unable to bring her back. We run into the same "wall" he broke through anyway, just a longer road of collecting other stones to get to it.

Don't think, bringing back the dead, but more like its falling in love with your partner's identical twin, who is also mourning the loss of your identical twin, and neither of you have met your twins before. Perhaps the Strange and Christine would even bond over having lost each other. Which means in a multiversal probability branch, there must be a set of Stephen/Christine pairs suffering from parallel Romeo/Juliet Syndrome, and their loved one keeps dying, even as they find replacements.
