great job i just am waiting on mine will be here friday am going with the metalilc red with gold carbs and a few orther little gold parts need to find the filler compound for my seat and tank but what u were talking about with painting is called spidering when paint does that i have had it many times then you sand it all down and start over what i do is find an old model part like an old hood do one half with primer and then paint and one side without primer see if there s a paint reaction on either side a test spray and yes i built the dragonfire trike another great build loved it wish i still had it
Came out really nice man! Well done. What paint did you use on the tail lights? I have a hammered aluminum paint that looks similar. EDIT - that red works really well!
For tail lights I used the same paint I used for the seat sprayed on plastic bag kit parts came in and cut it and put it in there. Used Rust-Oleum hammered … I let it sit two days and it was still tacky? I have bad luck with paint other than Testors . If I had primed it I bet the red would have looked even better… but I’ve been burned too often with the primer and main coat cracking and all sorts of stuff. Even after waiting days to make sure primer is dry. I’m old school and don’t air brush. I’m very happy with how it came out… but the top dog model builders will really make this kit perfect. I’m looking forward to what others do. This kit is really special… so much can be done with just the basic frame and motor… can make it anything.
