her origins differ in the 2003 animated series, we learn she is the daughter of the Faceless One, who was once Lord of Zalesa and a member of the Grayskull Council of Elders, but because he broke the rules of the council and fathered a child, the Lord of Zalesa got estranged from the other Elders, things heated up when King Hiss kidnapped the Lord's daughter and the Elders refused to help him rescue her, so he made a devil's bargain with King Hiss, retrieving his daughter in exchange for granting King Hiss the power to control Serpos the three headed Snake God, unfortunately, this also meant that Zalesa was now doomed to be destroyed by Serpos, the Lord then made another deal with a mysterious man (who was later said to be a time traveling Keldor), the Lord surrendered his staff, which would later become the Havoc Staff of Skeletor, to the man, and the man took Lord's daughter away to safety, the Lord faced Serpos alone and nearly died, it was only then that the Elders stepped in to seal Serpos away, they then punished the Lord by turning him into the Faceless One, condemning him to watch over the ruins of Zalesa for all eternity, the Lord's daughter grew up to become Evil-lyn and she joined Keldor's army as a sorceress, she would later help Keldor make contact with Hordak and witnessed his transformation into Skeletor, Evil-lyn somehow found out the Faceless One was her father, but she didn't visit him much and was more focused on one day trying to replace Skeletor as the leader of the Evil Warriors, she had secretly backstabbed Skeletor a lot of times, but Skeletor always ended up turning a blind eye to her actions and keeping her by his side, because he required her magic for many of his plans
in the recent Revelations series Evil-lyn was shown to be a little girl from the slums of Zalesa, her parents had no love for her and literally tried to eat her, because they were starving, Evil-lyn fled and escaped to the sewers, where she would spend the next twenty or so years of her life, during this time, she met an old woman named Majestra, who told her that she was magical and agreed to teach her magic, but Evil-lyn had to swear to never use magic to kill, unfortunately, Evil-lyn could not keep that promise and left the sewers to try and kill her parents out of revenge, but Majestra stopped her, Evil-lyn then abandoned Majestra and became a petty thief in the streets of Zalesa, this was how she met Skeletor, he saved her from two ruffians that had cornered her after she stole from them, Skeletor told Evil-lyn that Majestra was holding her true potential back in order to control her, Evil-lyn believed him and went to confront Majestra, she ended up killing her former mentor with help from Skeletor, who enhanced her already strong magic, Evil-lyn then helped Skeletor betray Hordak and banish him to the prison dimension of Despondos, Skeletor and Evil-lyn then became lovers and led the Evil Warriors together, during this time, Evil-lyn started seeing Beastman as a friend, because he was always willing to lend her a shoulder to lean on whenever she and Skeletor quarrelled, Evil-lyn eventually grew to resent Skeletor, because he was starting to act like he owned her, but she didn't dare openly fight back against him, because she owed him her life, after the failed siege on Grayskull, Evil-Lyn spend the next few years in hiding with her magic dwindling, she was later recruited by the Sorceress of Grayskull to assist Teela in the quest to restore magic to Eternia, during this time, she got close with Orko and was sad to see him be sacrificed in Subternia, when the Sword of Power was reforged, Skeletor returned, having used Evil-lyn's orb as a vessel for his weakened soul, and reformed himself, Skeletor then killed the Sorceress of Grayskull and made Evil-lyn the new Sorceress of Grayskull, but their relationship continued to deteriorate, until Evil-lyn tricked him and stole the power from him, she then tried to end all of reality, but Teela, who had succeeded her mother as the true new Sorceress of Grayskull, stopped her and showed her that the universe was not just filled with negativity, there was also hope, Evil-lyn the gave up her evil plans and redeemed herself by preventing Orko from returning to Subternia, in the aftermath, she walks away from being evil and leaves her signature orb behind
i loved Evil Lyn in the filmation series. she has the potential to take on challenges herself but i liked her and Skeletor being a duo and their dynamic was hilarious and entertaining
Not to take the focus away from Evil-Lyn, but Jon Cypher (the General on 'Major Dad') was perfectly cast as Man At Arms in the 1987 MOTU film. And of course, Meg Foster was spot-on for her respective role as well.
Evil-Lyn and Beastman were always my favorite of the evil minions ever since 5 yr old me started watching cartoons. The 2002 reboot Evil-Lyn is the best far as I'm concerned.

I really hated that Kevin Smith gave her cannibalistic parents instead of making her the daughter of the Faceless One. He doesn’t know the He-Man mythos.
Smith can't even get his own lore straight in the same episode. Beast Man; "The power flows through you, therefore you should rule!" Lyn; "You mean the same power Skeletor literally handed me on a whim? That power?" BM; "Umm, but that power came from Zoar, who gives power to He-Man, and is not yours." Lyn; "The same Zoar Skeletor murdered ten minutes before handing me this power."
Um, those wreren't "rowdy males" there were some merchant's bodyguards. She had just picked his pockets. Also, when she was a child she had to run away from her parents. They were starving and planned on turning her into dinner.
The funny thing about all of the Masters of the Universe thing is, it was (like most 80s kids stuff) created as toys first then made into cartoons as basically very long toy commericals, etc. You get the idea but I only bring it up here for this. They started off with pretty much all male characters being hulking toys with all female characters being Barbie-like toys... they were differently-colored differently accessorized same-mold(s) using toys. The early writing of their stories was even lazy writing. It started off as simplistic toy marketing for stupid kids. It became an interesting expanded (and expanding universe/multiverse) thing that pretty much made Evil-Lyn an epic 3-dimentional complex character instead of the basic Skeletor "not a minion" minion.

Oh (seeing your username), and as a kid, I was on "Team Gamora" for best "giant monster"... creatures now called "Kaiju"... during a time when Godzilla was the more popular. It might have been a personal bias, I named a box turtle I found and adopted Gamora... cocky little bugger liked to bite (but it never hurt) and make it's "terrifying" (cute) noises when feeling cocky. Gamora also liked tucking in the head and ramming feet/shoes.

Did it for a few years before realizing it became a sewer once every moron ever got a cellphone, with all of them using cellphones to access the internet. And you won't believe the number of desperately lonely people looking to make friends and more using the lazy internet options. I'm having a hard time not neglecting people I already know, like, and love.
Every boy that watches the show back then on the saturday morning combo of He-Man followed by She-Ra was in love with Evil-Lyn, that was such a big part of emulating He-Man, the constant disrespect of women by Skeletor made you sympathetic to her. He was so cold to her all of the time.

They're a couple in the 2004 reboot and I'm pretty sure they are in some of the comics too. Their relationship would have been so fun to watch in the originals. The two of them were hilarious to see interact.
Watched the old TV cartoons ; can't afford to watch the newer NetFlix nor the MOTU "Revelations " series. The action-figure /figurine I think 🤔 I saw reminded me of Barbie ! She is definitely one dangerous 😳 woman 👩 ; more like Jezebel ; or the legendary Gorgon 🤔 ! Certainly no one to put your trust in ! She makes Snow White's wicked 🧙♀️ queen sorceress look relatively friendly and tame !

Agree..if only Smith crappy series could be removed from any present or future documentaries of the He-man series..that would the greatest present to us He-man fan's.
Heman stories are cool and all but this to me has to be one of the biggest potholes or he man is just a fraud for being the strongest in the universe He-Man gets punked and thrown around quite a bit
In my headcannon his strength is like a cheetah's speed. When he has his full amount energy and in his case also magic, he is the strongest man in the universe. But his energy is used up in high intensity fights and he only has so much magic per transformation. And would have to rest or change back to Adam to recharge and go back to full strength.
