Just putting it out there but in marvel versus Capcom 1 that isn't evil Ryu, That's a form that Ryu can take because instead of adding in akuma and Ken they made it so ryu can turn into both of them via certain inputs that allow you to gain their movesets and it changes his Gi into their colors. It was done to save space on the roster.
For an actual explanation, Ryu has exorcised the Satsui No Hado by the time of Street Fighter 3. We shouldn't see Evil Ryu in Street Fighter 6 either, since it's set after 3 (outside of a non-canon dlc character if they go that route).
@@SleepyPopups From a canon perspective, Kage did manifest physically but needs a host to survive. Ryu is mastering the power of nothingness in SFV and appears to dispel Kage at the end. So as far as the in-canon story goes, Kage and his ridiculous evil tusks should be nothing but a memory. That being said, Evil Ryu has always been very popular. I've loved him since his introduction in Alpha 2 Gold. I think there's a pretty good chance that he'll be back as a DLC character around season 4 or so if it does that long.
@@kamikaze82 Since the Ryu SF6 bio kinda hammers in that Ryu has officially moved on from all the woes of his past, and cleansed himself of it entirely, I think Ken has a likely chance of becoming Evil Ken/Violent Ken/Kage(?)
Evil Ryu from Street Fighter 4 was my favorite version of the character. I don't know what that crappy rebranding character was from Street Fighter 5. Horrible version of Evil Ryu. You might as well just call him Dan cuz that's all the moves that he had, bootleg moves from Dan off the Alpha Series. SMH🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿🤦🏿
He only had one move that was similar to Dan’s. His moveset was awesome what are you talking about? He had stomps, shakunetsu, 2 supers and flashy combos.
Clearly you have no idea what you talkin about. This version of Evil Ryu is almost a carbon copy of Dan from Street Fighter Alpha 2 and 3. Do your research before you make your comments. Evil Ryu from Street Fighter 4 hands down was the best version. That's my opinion and I had every right to feel that way. So get off your ass go get Street Fighter Alpha 2 or 3, play with Dan and you'll see the similarities that I'm talking about.
