The mad thing was it wasn't Gandido's stick that actually caused a pause, it was another player in top 8. You can tell by looking at the number assigned to the controller in the PS Menu, it's 3. If it was Gandido's it would have been 1 or 2.
@@Leadblast That was simply not possible before. Literally. T5DR on PS3 did not have the "Pick a controller for a side" thing. It was either controller 1 for 1p, and controller 2 for 2p. So I KNOW exactly that this is what happened. Also, considering I'm the man on the P2 side, I think that should count.
Ryan, the volume of you voice is way to low especially compared to the initial clip and other videos on YT. And the end music freaking blew my speakers lol.
We both presumed that my controller had pressed the home button because Ryan's converter did not have a button accessible, as he was not using a Pelican converter at that time and I was. I remember looking to Cano afterwards and asked him for his converter because I was just that tilted. Any momentum that I had, just deflated. Also, Ryan, you fail to mention that you told me "You were up on life" when you clearly were not. This added fuel to the fire on my side. The Cannons and Wiz did not understand also why I was able to get the home screen off, but also forgot that as long as one person is on the home screen on PS3, anyone can move it. I was the one who paused the game afterwards as we awaited a decision, because that shit was whack. Don't get me wrong - I'm grateful for us playing the match out and I would have done the same thing if the roles were reversed, but if we're going to have a "what really happened" video, I would have appreciated the heads up so EVERYTHING was correct and/or included. The mere fact that you don't even mention the FACT that we already have proven someone else did it (and continually imply that it was Rip..) is almost disrespectful. The worst part about this is the fact that it wasn't until I left the room, I don't remember who it was that caught up with me, that made the comment about someone else pressing the home button on a pad, that the idea that something like that could have happened.
I'm sorry you feel this way to be honest, you should have come to me sooner. I don't think I said this, nobody that would lie about health bars, would go out of their way to arrange a rematch when offered the win for free. If I wanted to snake you, I easily could have taken the free win. However if I did really say that then it was an honest mistake. In any case, this would be so easy to check before playing on since it was recorded and there were cameras everywhere. No big deal either way
FGC lore. I used to watch this on an old DVD back in the day, this was like getting director commentary heh. Can we get more stories like this? There have to be dozens most don't know about.
Didn't drink much on the 12 hour flight, which was the worst thing I could have done. Then once on the ground in Vegas, I drank a bit but nowhere near enough and with the blistering heat, it wasn't long before the effects starting kicking in. I don't fully remember now but I think that we flew in on the day of the pool or just the evening before or something. Wish I could remember fully. I actually kinda felt fine until the tournament began. Bad mistake never to be repeated!
