@@tkraid2575 rip won the pokken invitational around the time the game was released. i dont know the exact details, but he was the first pokken champion, he trolls about it often. ryan hart has been successful in many games, rip has tekken, and that pokken championship. but pokken isnt really played very seriously outside of a few dedicated fans. so basically, ryan hart was implying that his accolades far exceed rips within the fgc. but rip still has some pretty good accomplishments under his belt. evo was way less squishy a decade ago.

Ryan Hart was no fucking joke at one point in time. Hell I remember seeing him back in Gamesmaster playing Tekken 3 and them making him out to be a big player. But yes, they did award him that at one point, think I had the book for it too.
@@RayzeCruxis I personally love the EVO 2008 GF with him vs Gandido. Even with one of the funniest moments in gaming history occurring, those are some really good matches. Still use that double EWGF x jab to spinning hook to this day.
I don't get why people say Rip got roasted. Rip was joking around especially at the Pokken comment. Ryan couldn't let it go and had to come back after the talk had died down. Rip was in his head.
