At first I thought Kayo Police had an unusually convincing feminine voice for a transgender, but the more I listen I think this impression is more a product of Japanese female celebrities so often speaking in unnaturally high voices that a good male falsetto + hormone treatments sounds relatively normal. Anyway, she's very cute. I wish her the best.
you can hear little bits of a male voice here and there. I work in a global company and I've talked to some of our Japanese customer service reps in English and they'd have a normal voice then as soon as a customer got on they'd jump to the high pitched japanese voice. It's more of a "this is how a girl should sound, high-pitched and soft"

3 years later and I still come back to watch this. Soooo hilarious! Would've been really sweet if they actually got together haha. Yes I know who Kayo Police and yes I know Aris did some womanizing crap a few years ago too. But still, that doesn't change the fact that the interaction between Kayo and Aris was great! I even bought that shirt with Aris and Kayo lol.
XD, I love it! Our nerdiness supersedes language & cultural backgrounds. I like watching people who speak different languages but share common interest in a competitive scene doing their best to cooperate, Watching two cultures awkwardly come together warms my heart.
