So proud of this guy. Not just because of a fellow Vegas player, but because he made my dream come true and proved Chun-Li's worth. He not only made top 8 with her but won the whole damn thing on winners side and he had to beat many big names to get there. He deserves it.

Why is everyone hating on RyanLV? Not even two years ago no one knew who he was, but with effort and perseverance he grinded his way top the number one spot in the curly circuit. This past year he won tournament after tournament with a Chun li shell that no one had ever seen, after this game being out for almost a decade. And now he fights his way to the most hated player in all of UMVC3 history, (not through losers bracket either), and takes the clean victory in his hometown. With an Xbox 360 to ps4 converter controller. RyanLV is such an underdog Rocky story and everyone is so quick to shit on him. Everyone here sucks.

Regardless of what many would say about UMvC3, this was a fitting end for its tenure at Evo. Stay hype, kids.

I met Ryan online a few years ago and after a 10-1 set, congratulated him on his situational awareness and patience- it felt like I was fighting a robot. We ran more ft10s and while I never beat him, he'd always mention that Super Skrull was a pretty efficient counterpick against all three of his characters (anti air cross ups, air command grabs and full screen offense ability etc)- something to mull over I guess. Anyway, congrats Ryan- more sets please. TokyoIcedSimba

UMvC3 is going the way of MvC2 where everybody's only going to be using Mags and Doom, except instead of Storm, Sentinel, and Cable, we get Zero, Vergil, and Morrigan instead, I really hope MvCI turns out really well.

Umvc3 had a really good run in EVO, and I hope MvcI has the same as well...

I haven't paid much attention to UMvC3 in a while, can anybody explain why RyanLV would have chosen Chun Li over Doom, aside from hype? I'm certainly glad it happened, I'm just curious.
