Correct, and won evo once. Leo make to much risk plays and almost any player punish him for that but Kameme punish every single high % rebelions guard than Leo used.
Kameme is one of the only players in the world (other than Tweek & Leo) to win an S tier tournament in this game. People gotta put some respect on his name.
I actually have to. I always hear about Tweek and MKLeo but not Kameme. Although he's one of the best Japanese players in Smash Ultimate, I also think he's one of the best Mega Man players.
@@Isaac11iceman11 I think he is talking about the Umebura Japan s tier tournament, Kameme got 1st it seems. Kameme is still very good for making it 9th at the biggest Smash tournament in the entire world. Couldn't be me, I'm still trying to normalize the tournament setting online and in locals, my results are inconsistant. I got 5th once, and the last time I got 0-2'ed in bracket. So yeah to tourneys
Although it was somewhat surprising, Kameme definitely knew what he was doing in the matchup and maneuvered around Leo's joker in particular really well. He is a phenomenal player and was definitely slightly underranked on the PGR imo
@@PakistanDefenseForum Yeah, for sure. But I feel like the weightage was kinda against him in favor for US tourneys, which he didn't get the opportunity to participate in as much. I do think he should've been a few places higher and most people would agree, even the X-factor score. Despite this, he certainly has amazing results and it's always a pleasure to watch him play, and it's not the biggest deal in the world

This is easily the best set I’ve ever seen. As a guy who aspires to become a great Mega Man main, It’s AMAZING to see one of us take out the #1!! Before I saw this I thought Leo was insurmountable, but I was wrong.
Kameme is unreal, absolute beast with megaman, Leo looked like he started to figure things out but he only had 1 stock left. And not like it matters anyway, we know how evo ended, Leo cannot be denied.
Japan taking DBFZ is no surprise honestly. The Japanese dominate pretty much every game except Smash, which they still kick ass in, and NRS games, which it doesn't seem like they play at all. Oh and Tekken. Koreans run that. Samsho was won by a Korean but that's also new so we gotta give it time.
i agree with the commentator at the end. Leo's playstyle until now seems to not be very effective against megaman/Kameme. Like I could feel the struggle for Joker/leo to breach in through all of those projectiles
The metal blade when thrown or dropled as an item is really fast and non-commital. Leaf shield eats most of Joker's buttons, and Kameme is too good to get walled out by GUN stuff. So good!
Kameme beats the best player in the world in smash 4 (ZeRo) and now he just beat the best player in the world in ultimate . That was a great set to watch.

In case if y'all are wondering, Kameme would've been top 10 in the PGR if it wasn't for the fact that Kameme couldn't go to a lot of US tourneys, same with some other Japanese players

Kameme plays extremely well against Joker and Arsene in particular. He doesn't camp but instead walls Joker out with projectiles as well as take advantage of the more offensive style that comes out when Arsene's active. Really great match!

As megaman player the joker match up isn't that bad. Joke has to come to you and he's not as fast and zzs or shik so he's pretty ease to keep track of it's no walk in the park but very doable
Same, it's surprisingly lax matchup, though it doesn't get pretty hairy if Joker can get a string going on you. Also, edgeguarding Joker is extremely fun and viable. Didn't really expect Kameme to do it, but would've loved to see a leaf shield gimp on a low recovery
Oh sweet I didn't know kamemushi played ultimate. He was my favorite player for a while after watching him beat zero's sheik and diddy with pure tech skill. If I lost against him I would never think he was carried by his "broken" character, that's for sure.
knowing how dominate Leo was with Joker I’m glad to see him lose bc that means that he has some serious competition even though he’s #1 there are others at EVO who could beat him not just Marss and Kameme. He still has one more shot though
