I noticed you didn't use the tiny retainer rings for journal bearings. Why?? Just didn't need to? Also I see you didn't do anything to lock the heat shield in any way. Is it okay for it to be able to spin??
hey i am looking for more information on the correct torque specs for the compressor wheel nut ..… i do like you say 1/4 turn but im kinda unsure because the assembly spins a little bit slow
Need help with my 3000gt VR4. My front turbo it's blowing oil from the turbine side and I've replaced it with a new one with the same results blowing oil again! I checked the drain witch is stock line seems fine and clean but I did notice the where the drain bolts up to the oil pan, the crankshaft cradle seems really close to the port 🤔 Would that be my problem?
@@turbolabamerica yeah I made sure not to and I have had it off three times :/ The only thing I can think of is the oil pan is too close to the crankshaft cradle
@@mikeweisenbacher9798 I figured it out only bc Austin told me where they go. They were actually the hardest parts to install for me. You need Snap ring pliers to install them, and they go into the center bore where the bearings sit. You can see them @ 0:28 These are very important bc they keep the bearings from flying out of the bore LoL
Hey ,I have idea .Why not we put transmission between compressor and turbine .It will make the compressor spinning faster than the turbine ,increase power and reduce lag
