If Poongko could have won that EVO it would have been the hypest thing ever. But i remember the ripping the top off and downing the drink then bodying The Beast, that is my EVO moment.

I find it hilarious that 4 of the 5 hype moments for EVO 2011 were MVC3, because now in 2014, that game is almost considered dead...

Best tournament I've ever seen. I've never been more hype for a competition than Evo 2011. I hope 2012 can deliver even half as much.

That whole SSF4 Finals was amazing. Poongko, A little known fighter up until Shadowloo showdown, Taking out Daigo in the most humiliating fashion, And then both Fuudo and Latif just taking names left and right with both of them on top of Tokido. I was hoping Poongko would do better in the end, but once you start getting publicity, your entire game gets shown to everyone, and you're downloaded to moment you start playing. Glad to see someone that huge of a name winning evo.

Jesus EVO was so freaking hype. Just got into the scene earlier this year, and out of all the events iv'e seen i never screamed so much in my house before lol. This could beat any super bowl event any day in my opinion. All in all. For my first EVO experience, it was amazing. Just wish i knew about the fighting game scene years ago.

Poongko vs Daigo was probably one of the biggest shocker to me. I never really expected Daigo to be bodied so hard this year. I don't play MK, BB and other fighting games a lot but I'm sure they have their own moments of hype. Fighting games is if not the best, probably one of the best example of HYPE.

That Tron grab by PR Rog will forever be one of, if not the, greatest moments in Evo history. First time I saw it I practically went crazy cheering.

I don't know what was more surprising, the fact that an eight year old was doing well in EVO, or the fact that there was a guy using Thor, MODOK and Viewtiful Joe as his team.

Yeah man I was hoping PR Balrog was going to come back to at least bring it to match point after the reset. But that level 3 grab on Phoenix was amazing...LOVED how the crowd went nuts on that one. And the Korean Poongko perfecting Daigo was just lovely to watch, haha

Evo was really fun this year as usual, its always nice to meet all the players and stuff in person at Evo. Being there live is infinitly better than watching on a stream, so hopefully more and more people will go to Evo in person rather than being a "stream monster". When Noah was eliminated from MVC3 by Chris G, I felt bad for Chris G because everyone was booing him as he beat the kid lol.

Think abut it, I've been playing games for a long time, since I was a kid. Over time you acquire experience in gaming and how to use controllers effectively etc. This kid is able to beat people who have been playing for years, at a young age, in which he has had little time to gain overall experience.

alot of people complained over the year how boring most AE matches were. THIS however, no one can complain about, it was just full of excitement, upsets, etc. All the players were just so hype this year, it really made it THAT much better.

Well i would say that maturity is. Experience and maturity can be a HUGE factor. playing in front of all those people can be VERY intimidating.

Poongko's bodying of Daigo was the most hype thing for me, I lost it when he went on stage and just whipped his jacket off and got in the zone also, the after hour streams were awesome in general, great stuff every night

Wow, that was freaking amazing. A little kid beat out the competition, now that's surprising, and its even more surprising that Daigo actually lost out in Evo. Though to be honest I was wondering when somebody was going to knock him off of the competitive pedestal. Then Justin, I swear that guy always pulls a victory out of his butt, even when under pressure.
