Looking at the fact these first houses were in german style you could have made some part of the village destroyed in 1944

In my head cannon, the starting house burnt down or damaged beyond repair and the grey building attached behind survived. The kiosk was the entrance to a museum and the town council moved into the new modern facility next door.
