I always liked the over the top impact the 89 movie had.

As much as I love the Nolan Batman films I think the choreography was kind of weak. In Batman Begins Nolan says he wanted to make Batman more mysterious as he'd be initially perceived by the criminals so at least some of the close up shots & editing were intentionally hard to follow. But as the films went on the fights became a lot slower and easier to follow but they almost appeared too slow and didn't always look like contact was being made (yes I know the actors don't actually hit each other but it supposed to look like they are!). I have a lot of issues with Snyder's films but the fight choreography was much, much better. The Batman feels as if it's taking the best of both.

The Batman fight scenes were less than 10 minutes in a 2 1/2 hour movie and they were more street fighting/MMA style without reflexes or technique, Batman Begins had too many cuts
