When I was a kid I would scare myself shitless because of the soundtrack, plus having tanks shooting you and rendering your whole team uncapacitated really adds up to the tension.

Desert Storm 1 was the first game I ever owned for my PS2, it game with the console. Brings me a lot of good (and intense) memories of this game. It was the game that made me like shooting and military games, it's still a good strategic game to this day. If you went shooting your way through war like many shooting games in this game, the enemies will have you and your whole squad killed in no time.

34 Now and pulling out the ps2 to play this with my son. Conflicts and Operation Flashpoint are my favoute games of all time. The good old days of saving to buy a game and staring at the cover and reading the manual inside out 😅

They really should have kept this game in 3rd person…. Or even better, give the option to switch perspectives It doesn’t feel like conflict anymore. Looks more like call of duty, battlefield and brothers in arms wrapped into one modernized sell out war game

Damn I never knew the Vietnam version was a Conflict game…. It felt so different lol It was definitely one of the more gruesome entries in the franchise but it felt unusually difficult compared to the other games

I agree, but the game seemed a little downgraded graphics wise. But it was enjoyable nonetheless. I think what made it really difficult was the setting, fighting in the jungle makes attacks really unpredictable and scary.

Also when you up the difficulty in Conflict Vietnam, you start with less med kits and you get less med kits when you see the pick up item

My neighbor and I would play desert storm 2 all the time. So fun to go through the campaign. And it was difficult also. With all the tanks and managing the missiles and med kits between us.

Man, this was one of my first video games as a kid, for the original xbox. I only knew of the first two games. I didn't even know they made a Vietnam and that Global terror game. I remember seeing the Denied ops one, but by then I've already moved on and forgot about the series.

lol me and my friend beaten all ps2 conflict games, back to back togheter, vietnam was a major painful one that, by the end of vietnam's campaign, everynother game was substantialy easier, plus, we took an actual day figuring out how to go through M3 Besieged in C:DS2, that sure is an experience and ends really well, and the following mission is great to finish stealthly, we always did that one so flawlessly, good memories

@@immitationstation3369 Sadly, not yet. For some odd reason Windows 10 made those old games work very badly. I mean, some of the old games are lagging like hell, while others work fine. And then I lost interest in tactical FPS games, so maybe I will check other games out sometime later when I wanted to play them again.

Conflict Desert Storm II actually had 2 version of the game that actually is the same game but with some bug fixes (the other version is called *"Back to Baghdad".* )

LOVED Global Terror. I feel like if they would've kept that same gameplay and just added more missions and upgraded instead of trying to follow Call of Duty into first person it would've stood out and stayed alive 🔥🔥🔥🔥 REMAKE

If you ask my opinion conflict d storm series was not about evolution but way around. The game devs took away feature after feautre. Chapter 2: No more permanent death for your comrades and if someone died the whole mission is a game over Chapter 4: Online only Chapter 5: online only and from tps is now a fps. This game gave up completely his identity till becoming just another fps

Global Terror is super fun. Playing it at the moment and it has such great mission variety and squad commands. Helps that the gunplay is great as well. Last great Conflict game imo and its a shame we never got a proper sequel to it since I feel like a modern Conflict game would really smoothe everything out for sure
