Evolution? More like "the rise and fall of Conker".

I love how Conker went from an incredibly innocent squirrel, to a drunken alcoholic who only cares about money.

Microsoft has killed one of the best video game characters ever made.

Honestly. I can relate to Conker. As young kids, we tend to experience heavily on the positive side of life every time, but as we get older, we’re starting to become aware on the misery side as an adult and experience those moments. Conker had all the positive moments as a kid, but as an adult, his whole day has gone into misery and insanity since they prevented him from simply going home. Not to mention his ending about being drunk and depressed because not only he lost Berri, but he’s now a king and surrounded by people he doesn’t like. Honestly, props to Rare for giving Conker fans, especially the ones that grew up with him, a series they can enjoy and grow up playing.

Im just gonna take it as canon that conker killed himself after the events of BFD. Because Rare killed him regardless.

Sadly, Chris Seavor said in Rare Replay that he won't be doing any Conker games anymore.

Poor Conker. His fall from grace, relevancy, and honor took it's toll on his mind, body and soul. I'm just grateful and releaved that Banjo and Kazooie were able to escape that fate. Thank you Mr. Sakurai, and thank you Mr. Spencer.

Conker in the 90s was in his best design and most enjoyable personality

Conker lived a tough life. When he was young he had a dream to become everything, things weren't looking to bright for him and after he met the love of his life he became an avid alcoholic. His love died soon after and he was still an alcoholic. After this we have never seen him ever again. Most assume he is dead. As of 2018. I can confirm we have not seen him for about 13 years.

I think Conker had it worst than Sonic the Hedgehog did

This transition from Conker being kid-friendly to adult themed, kind of reminds me of the Duke Nukem series, Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem 2 were kid-friendly sidescroller/platformer games. But Duke Nukem 3D and onward became mostly adult themed 1st person shooters.

I still have hope that Rare will return to Nintendo in a glorious way. Fingers crossed.

I grew up with Pocket Tales. It was one of the most surreal/confusing Gameboy games I played as a kid and I loved it. So when I wanted to buy Bad Fur Day (since it was more Conker), mom chewed me out since she was wondering why I knew and loved this "Mature" character, WHEN SHE BOUGHT THE GAMEBOY GAME FOR ME xD

I kind feel like Banjo stole Conker's chance at becoming a platforming hero. Banjo became famous while Conker became a drunk.

Conker is literally the best thing Rare ever made. Say what you will about Banjo and Donkey Kong, and while I agree that they’re great, even they cant match the same level of wit and charm that Conker used to have. It’s a shame that recently he’s been.... well..... dead, what with Young Conker and all, but, at least he had a good run. Diddy Kong Racing was really fun as a kid, and much more dynamic and exciting than the usual Mario Kart. Conker’s Pocket Tales, for as weird as it is, can still be called a good game just for how messed up it is, plus it gives us a glimpse as to what could’ve been had Twelve Tales released. Conker: Live & Reloaded was a great remake that, despite the extra censoring, still managed to keep most of the charm and quality of the original. Conker’s Big Reunion is a fun follow up to Bad Fur Day, that shows that Conker is still cared about. And best of all we have Conker’s Bad Fur Day. A great game that wasn’t afraid to take risks. Bad Fur Day was a hilarious game that spit in the face of platformers at the time, yet it was still very mature when it came to the dramatic moments. The ending of Bad Fur Day is still really powerful in its message. “The grass always *seems* greener but we dont stop to truly appreciate the stuff we already have until its gone.” And that message still speaks true to this day. Conker’s Bad Fur Day is probably one of the best Rare games ever made, and the whole series itself is one of great quality, and memorable characters and moments. I am truly grateful that Conker was able to have such a great run, and I truly hope he can return someday, and recapture that same magic that he had over 20 years ago.

I feel like there was a change in Conker that made him "insane." After all, Conker was once the cute, innocent squirrel. Diddy introduced Conker to the series, but soon thought he was just too peppy for him. So that's when Conker was never heard from, until 1999. Conker's Pocket Tales. The game represents Conker as the innocent person he still is, but it's one of those conditions where they search up: "What is Conker?" but they never search up "How is Conker?" He's probably keeping his sanity from the time he was abandoned from the games, but the low rating on Pocket Tales changed everything. Conker was no longer the innocent, cute squirrel. Bad Fur Day changed everything, from a soft, complimenting atmosphere to an atmosphere filled with bad words and gore. Conker now had weapons to the next level, like guns, knifes, and so on. The characters may be cute (Ex. "Sweet Corn") to scary (Ex. The Great Mighty Poo) to downright idiotic. There are many bad words, and god knows what else. However the hardcore rating just shot up. Sure, some people wish Conker was cute again, but it sometimes feels like.... Conker's better off as the alcoholic he is. And here comes the more detailed game. Better quality, and just listen to the audio! Sure, the "Sweet Corn" may be cute or "just-wish-it-was-the-original" feeling. Great Mighty Poo does the same thing, but the S (no, not stupid) words are censored out by a poop noise at the end. Everything just... is the better of Conker games.
