The main thing I love about Dark Samus is that normally Dark version of the main protagonists are created from their dark side of their consciousness, inner desire, or whatnot, but Dark Samus is not just the evil and darker version of Samus. She’s unique mix of Metroid Prime, a Metroid, heavily mutated from extreme levels of Phazon, who fused with Samus’ Phazon Suit and the DNA that was on the suit, who just wants to feed on Phazon for all eternity! You truly gotta love that concept for her.

What's even more interesting is that despite the "Dark" in her name, she's more affected by the Dark Beam than the Light Beam.

@@Chaos89Pbecause those "darks" are different Dark aether has an atmospheric distinction and habitat details that dark samus is completely exempt from, which the dark beam is powered by Though it is interesting that both forms of dark are completely separate, yet originate from the same source ultimately

Not only that, but Dark Samus actually PRECEDES and foreshadows what Samus would become later, as she's literally the Tallon IV Metroid Prime given humanoid form, a precursor to how Samus herself would *literally* become Metroid.

Dark Samus is perhaps one of the most dangerous creatures in the Metroid series since it can think and act independently just like a human.

That's just the thing, Dark Samus has about half of Samus's DNA, which is like ½ human and ½ Chozo. Not only that, she can also employ some manner of mind control, probably through the influence of Phazon.

I like totally agree that Dark Samus is one of Metroid's and Nintendo's best villains and evil doppelganger to Samus Aran and Dark Samus will return in Metroid Prime 4 in the future.

Maybe they'll de-clone her in the next game. Echo fighters are mostly fighters that they lacked dev time on, so they should be able to tweak her for the next title.

Honestly, the Metroid Prime trilogy is not well represented in Smash Bros overall. DS definitely deserved a full moveset, and they could have reused the animations the assist trophy used in Smash 4 for an Ultimate moveset.

Some weird thought that just came to mind is that Dark Samus *might've* assisted Samus if there was ever a need to. I'm highly doubtful that that would ever be the case, but there ya go.

Maybe in a case similar to Metroid Fusion, where the SA-X helped Samus fight the Omega Metroid. It's just, seeing as Dark Samus is Metroid Prime herself, it would probably want to kill off X Parasites. It was said that Metroid were their natural predators after all.

@@shimmy4704 Possible Small Misconception. Metroid has a specific Chozo Meaning. It means “Ultimate Warrior” in their language. Arguably, Dark Samus’ first form as “Metroid Prime” is called such because the Chozo of Talon IV saw it as the strongest creature currently living on that planet. It might not actually be a “Metroid” like the titular creatures we know, as those were genetically engineered last I checked. There’s a small chance Dark Samus wouldn’t care about any remaining X at all.

Log scans indicate that it’s a heavily mutated Tallon IV Metroid with stolen Pirate technology, so I would say Dark Samus is an actual Metroid. So yea, it would view the X Parasite as a foe (food, too)

I didn't know for years that DS was actually a mutated Metroid Prime until after I'd completed the trilogy, making the series name fully make sense for 2 & 3 beyond a sequential tie in. It shouldn't have been hidden behind a 100% ending imo...still so, so cool.

@@treybrzezowski3259 1. Don't EVER compare The cunning god of death to ANYTHING from that awful cringefest of a series. 2. Ridley canonical death was on Zebes after being blown to pieces and then said pieces being atomized after said planet's destruction. Any appearances afterwards were clones and don't get me started on Omega Ridley

@@treybrzezowski3259 Spoiler alert: The X were wiped out when SR388 and ZDR were destroyed. The Space Pirates or what's left of then were wiped out when Mother Brain and MB were destroyed along with Zebes and the Bottle Ship. As were any remaining samples of Ridley's DNA. Now don't get me wrong, I fucking love Ridley. He's hands down one of the best villains Nintendo has ever made. But our favorite space dragon is capital D E A D ded.

Sylux? He is strongly hinted to be Prime 4's main villain or rival to Samus as seen in the endings of Prime 3 and Federation Force.

@@generalcjg Yeah I figured that after originaoly beating MP3 & watching some of SuperMetalDave64's videos. As long as they don't use the dumb chibi look from Federation Force it should be fine.

@@nintendogamer3227 I strongly doubt they want to do anything related to Federation Force (save for just following up on that ending of Sylux stealing the Baby Metroid), Prime 4 has to more closely look and feel like the three main Prime games, and this includes having a very sick art style and with excellent graphics that just makes it one of the best looking Nintendo games ever made. It has to be extremely clear to Nintendo that no Metroid fan wants a repeat of Federation Force.

Dark Raven Beak. Turns out save stations weren't only used by Samus, and he had to escape ZDR with one of the ships floating around, but was shrunken down since he couldn't save himself in his super tall state.

I kind of hope that neither of them are present in Prime 4. The destruction of Phaaze in Corruption should be the end of all Phazon. I'd like Prime 4 to focus on building Sylux up to be a formidable rival, and explain the aftermath of the Phazon crisis' impact on Samus' body and mind.

Spider Man Movies and Metroid Prime series did came out In the Same years of 2002 2004 and 2007 like. Spider Man came out May 3rd Metroid Prime came out 7 Months Later In November 18th. Spider Man 2 came June 30th Metroid Prime 2: Echoes came out 5 Months Later In November 15th. Spider Man 3 came out on a Star Wars Day almost to the 30th Anniversary of A New Hope and Finally Metroid Prime 3: Corruption came out August 27th.

Well to be honest Dark Samus is not symbiote parallel to Venom, Not even close she is pure Phazon energy except The Ing are equivalent to symbiote Ing are similar abilities to symbiote if you get my point

Venom is no where near as similar as Dark Samus, we're talking about a highly intelligent Metroid that was capable of destroying a war fleet in seconds and causing mass level extinctions to a "parasite" who's an anti hero and increases anger..

They could have done way more with the Dark Samus fight in Prime 3. I think it was a mistake to have Dark Samus fuse with the Aurora Unit and have that as the final boss. If anything, the order of bosses should have been reversed.

She was basically a queen metroid on Tallon IV, which means had she completely ruled Phaaze, she'd start laying again.
