Agreed! It's more satisfying. If EA ever releases another Fight Night, I hope they listen to the community and bring back physics based knockouts. Thanks for commenting btw
@@caydenrgarrett Glad I could influence. 2004 is extremely underrated. The latter games focus more on simulation with a mix of arcade. I don't think people realize you could change the punching speed/power/stamina etc in the later games.
Black and Bruised was out around the early 2000's, Rocky games, and the Victorious series to name a few. Now, I'm calling it competition in a business sense. The games being good is another story.
The knockouts in 2004 might have been a little over the top, but at least the physics made sense. FNC's just look random and out of place. The perfect mix would be: -Canned animations for body shot knockdowns -headshot knock downs based on physics, but maybe some kind of variation where it doesn't ALWAYS look like his soul completely left his body (like ragdoll, but they fall to their ass most of the time instead of going full noodle-arm and falling like a tree)
Lol noodle arms. I have a soft spot for ragdoll physics, but mixing in canned animations would help it lean in the middle of sim and arcade. Round 2 and 3 had some floaty KO's imo.
I love you could continue to hit the other boxer in the head while he was on his way down even thou he was already KOed here comes brain damage haha. I remember one time i caught him in the corner after the KO i hit him with 17 hits to his head, it was funny aswell he he was ragdolling around before he hit the canvas it was really satisfying :)
They were funny in 04 but the best was champions hands down. This guy turned the effects off tho unlike the other games. I have some crazy knock outs in champion
the evolution of the first game to the next and incredible! both in physics and in violence and physical harm. I like 3, 4 Champions not for the gameplay but for the deformation of the face with each knockout
I remember having round 3 demo on my 360 man the knock outs were awesome, the blood going flying, the sounds...I also like round 4 but I sucked as I never got use to the controller config/buttons. You could change it in round 3, but they removed that in 4 :(
I agree no doubt I think Fight Night Champion has the best of all fight mechanics whatsoever in my opinion!! No relay on the buttons u use to throw punches and I think the knockouts are pretty good on they way they fall with the physics of of the games knockouts not so bad at all and another reason I like F.N.C., Is the entrances and graphics and all the art included I don't know why people sometimes thinK RND.2 or 3 and some even think RND.4 is way better or just the best FIGHT NIGHT GAME made. But in the long run everyone knows the truth I mean they can see it but whatever one u like I mean obviously is cool too I like them from 2,3,4 and my favorite is FNC!!..
The Fight night series still holds the crown on KO physics in my opinion. If undisputed can either match or surpass on this it might have a chance. It still needs work.
Imo, the Tyson/Butterbean K.O. at 3:11 was the best of the bunch here. He was already out, going down the ropes, but got a last mighty left trying to knock his head off. In general, 2004 is my fav for K.O's
I think fight night round 4 had ok physics and stuff but I still think needed some work with counter and punches and glitches throughout punches like a leg sometimes play fight night champion on Xbox one x enhanced and that is the one for sure hands down my opinion and strong one too
It is underrated. The boxing is the most textbook out of the series. I just dropped a video about "The History of Fight Night" fyi. I enjoy them all, and I also did a ranked video about the series. Even though 3 isn't my favorite, I appreciate the fact it is the one that is more close to boxing than the others.
Fight NIght Round 2 all the way. Not sure what the later titles tried to achieve, never got the feeling for them. With Round 2 everything just clicked.
Fight Night 2004 Has the best Representation of Authentic Boxing besides the Harlem Shake Animation when they go down. Every Other Game is ppl Cocking Back looking for a Haymaker. Thats not real Boxing.
fight night 2004 was definitely my favorite, but now its over for EA and fight nights arcadey play. Esportsboxingclub is taking over for boxing games now.
I thought about it, but I wanted to mainly focus on the Fight Night brand itself. Plus, I own all of the Fight Night games. I might do one in the future if I pick them up. Which of all the boxing games is your favorite then?
Fight night champion, why on this video shows the realistic 3 minutes instead most of the videos like 3 minutes but being 2x speed equals only 1 minutes and a half....?
They improved the physics of the fighting after 3, so the engine is different. I'm guessing they were trying to save money instead of building on the Round 4 engine.
Fight Night 2004 has the most realistic sim feeling and gameplay then all other versions. If you knew how to fight in this game like in real life, you could replicate so much of it in FN2004. It was a thing of beauty! Pure class and real boxing skills. Physics, ragdoll, knock-outs, blood, mechanics, etc.. It had it all. I also own all these games and only play FN2004. I enjoy FN Champion and FNR3/4, but they are missing too many key things in the ring to fully enjoy them.
