One trend that I have have noticed in many people (including me) is that, as you grow old, your music taste keeps on shifting towards more older songs.

As a 18 year old guy , I feel proud that I know every song after 1954 . Indian Music industry is really a gem 💎..

Time of Rafi, Mukesh, Kishor , Lata & Asha bhosle is the best time of Indian music.....missing those legends voice 🥲

1930-1950: based on older traditions 1950-1970: based on life lessons 1970-1990: based on feelings of true love 1990-2010:based on enjoyment in love with someone or country 2010-2020: based on lust and fake satisfaction

From 1955 to 2010 is just a golden remarkable period of music 😘😘 Deep meaningful Lyrics , heart touching voice, fabulous music, no remake, no cheap wording and a lot of reasons 😌 Really a big clap for all of them to contribute their soulfull performance in the songs👏👏👏👏

The reason for old songs being more likeable is that old songs focused more on their compositions and melodies while newer songs shifted more towards the rhythms and appearences much like English songs....Old songs are really gold!

to be a 2000s kid, but able to recognize from 1956 onwards is truly the magic of Hindi cinema and music 🥹

One thing I noticed is a strong Sanskrit and pure Hindi domination in lyrics in 30s,40s. Later from 50s-90s it's majorly Urdu mixed lyrics and post 2000s Punjabi and English is getting mixed occasionally.
