I really love how 14 and 15 gave the attack a vacuum effect to emphasize just how strong the punch is. Ryo is such a badass.

I like the KOF13 version. It makes me remember the punch Asura (asura's Wrath) defeated the true last boss.

O Tenchi Haoh Ken surgiu em Art of Fighting 2 através da fase bônus de derrubar uma árvore com um soco. O sprite de Ryo derrubando uma árvore com um soco em AoF2 deu origem ao golpe.

Ichigeki Hissatsu! Or “A single deadly strike!”, this move is rather unusual than it looks. By itself it doesn’t seem to do much damage for a super, and lacks range compared to Ryo’s other supers. What Tenchi Haou Ken is tho, is a very damaging counter attack (at lv1) and an instant stun attack (at lv2), so its usefulness depends on what the current situation allows. In ‘97, EXTRA Ryo could spam Shouko Ken and instant stun Haou Ken at low health, which is beyond stupid. This was fixed in ‘98 (no EXTRA super spam and no consecutive stun), but it also give counter-hit lv1 Haou Ken its high damage, so the move is now alright on its own. However in ‘99 and ‘00, SNK decided to remove its instant stun characteristic in ‘99 and then its lv2 version in ‘00 (weird since Ryo gets to have 2 lv2s already, normal lv2 Haou Shouko Ken and secret, done by qcf.C~A, lv2 Ryuuko Ranbu) and Eolith just used the changes for ‘01. From ‘02 to XI, they switched it back to being an instant stun attack, which is appreciated since with the tag shenanigans in ‘03 and XI, having an instant stun super boosts Ryo’s viability a lot. XIII switched it back to being a big damage super again, but at least the animation is raw af. Not much has changed from XIII to now. So in ‘97 and ‘98, it’s a big punishing tool and also double as an utility super; in ‘99-‘01, it’s strictly a punishing tool; in 02/98UM/02UM, it’s a nice MAX combo filter; in ‘03 and XI, it’s a strong utility tool that get Ryo invited in the high tier party; from XIII onwards, it’s a nice combo ender. On the spin-offs side, it’s a toss-up between big damage or big stun. SvC MoTM uses ‘97 stun system so Ryo can abuse lv2 Tenchi Haou Ken to his heart content. R1, R2, EX1, EX2 and Neowave are based on ‘97, ‘98, ‘99, ‘00 and ‘02 respectively so nothing different from those games. CvS1 uses big damage but CvS2 uses big stun, kinda weird but whatever. SvC Chaos is big stun, but since you can only use one in a whole match, it’s not good. NGBC is… what? It’s neither big damage or big stun, I guess it must have something to do with recoverable red health. MI games are all big damage. Honestly I don’t play MI games much but with its system, having a guaranteed 50% attack should make Ryo scary as hell.

Visually my favorite version is KOFXIII. I like the massive damage deal on KOF98, 99, 2000 and 2001.

@@AshtheOne XIII one definitely feels the strongest. A slow start-up follow by a bombastic sound effect, close-up shot, orange juice blown out of opponent and dust blown away to the side.

Funny cause people at Capcom and Snk like pitting Kyo and ryu against each other which I get. Both are posted characters. I would like to see Ken and Kyo fight. Fire against fire.
