SR1 2006 was a great game. yes it was a copycat but had a different feel, detail, and pace than any GTA game at the time. the multi-player was fun as heck as I remember it. almost maxed out too

it still dead not near as fun or alive like it was a few years ago. The whole franklin and lamar dlc is trash and late. Maybe if they would've did the dlc in 2018 or something it would've been a big deal but nobody cares about that whole thing anymore. You can say they milking gta but I feel like they just taken they time on it. When it drops all these other game companies can say goodbye to they fans for awhile. Rockstar is lame tho for charging us for the same version game.

Most of them are former members of their respective gangs who are now working for your protagonist in the Saints Row Reboot (who you can customize to look like a gangster) Like... did you forget that this game allows you to customize your characters and, possibly, your gang?

Unpopular opinion, i really enjoyed SR3 & SR4 with my friends, they just aren’t Saints Row. They could’ve released them as a branch off of the SR series because it became way to funky, but they were really fun to play.

The only way your opinion would be considered unpopular is if you said they're great _as_ Saints Row games. I agree with your opinion too, and this is coming from someone who got into the franchise like a year or two ago after my brother got me interested. I had the expectation of The Third, 4 and Gat Out of Hell not being representative of what the franchise was supposed to be, along with the expectation of 2 being the best of the series. Update: I'm also playing the games out of order because I'm impatient, lazy and have a short attention span.

Saints Row 1 felt like an Arcade Open World Sandbox, the more activities you completed, the more OP you got and better weapons were unlocked when you did those super annoying Hitman missions. Saints Row 2 felt like a perfected Saints Row 1. Didn’t feel as much like an Arcade, but a proper Open World Sandbox. Same gimmick as Saints Row 1 but the activities were actually fun and don’t feel like a chore to do other than a few of them rather than a bunch of them in Saints Row 1. Saints Row 3 streamlined everything and made a bunch of content utterly useless. Hitman and Chop Shop and some other activity had no reward attached to them. You just bought your way to being OP, which made the game easy and boring no matter what difficulty you played on.

I remember playing this 5 years ago for the first time after waiting so long and 6 years ago I played the 4th game so much over getting 100% every playthrough that at the time even thinking of the story made me sick! I played it probably 15 times! I got sr3 a year after and LOVED IT I played it at home, at my grandma's house and even swapping gaming rooms! I played Sr3 then Sr4 and in a cycle until a year later I played a few cycles and everything was so burned into my memory that I could say every dialogue out of my head before it happens and I got sad everything felt like reading a sentence for the 100th time! I tried everything from playing with a different character to even trying to play stealth. Nothing worked and I sold SR3 and SR4 to my good friend! He loved it! but now my copies of those wonderful xbox games are probably in someone's home being played day and night or got shoved in a closet by someone. I got the pc version and am now going to replay this game for what feels like the 50th time or more...

you know listening to this trying to learn about the game series, it sounds like they took sims and gta and put them together, making it a crazy fun interactive world.

That's what SR2 feels like. You make your own character, buy and customise different houses and vehicles, with the open world of GTA. Imagine if they doubled down and made it so you could build houses and make multiple gangsters, in different open worlds and craft your own story like the Sims 4 but with guns and driving 🤯 I've always wanted a crime based RPG, Cyberpunk 2077 is my dream game but it's still really glitchy. Cyberpunk 2078 could be the game I've been waiting for 🤞

Some day I want the Saints Row team to have a collaboration with the GTA team (specifically the GTA4 team) I want to see the immersive attention to detail of gta4 with the batshit insanity of saints row. Like I want to see NPCs behaving like real people but also I want to go around shoving a high tech gadget up NPCs asses turning them into rockets.

I think you meant "Devolution" not "Evolution" 😂 everyone calm down it's just a joke. I may prefer SR1 & SR2, but that doesn't mean the other SR games don't have good things in them. I started with SR3 and enjoyed that game
