My memory is really hazy, but I think my first experience was actually Sonic 06 at a cousin’s house. Colors on DS was the first game I ever owned (with Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing on DS being the first one I owned legitimately).

As someone who grew up with this game, I am so glad that feature is gone. It was nice returning to the game and managing to unlock other characters much much easier. If a little too easy.

I think even if each zone got little variations; they might be randomized but when you do each zone more the scenery changes slight from act 1, to 2, to 3 and then back.

The wild thing, is the Master System release of Sonic the Hedgehog was the second game to come out, the Mega Drive/Genesis release came out on June 23rd 1991 for it's earliest launch date, and the Master System version was in November, they backported the game to the previous console

Being that it was “Sonic Running In A Circle Simulator”, I’m not surprised they achieved this. Everything in the entire demo takes place in what amounts to as no larger than the starting area of Sonic Adventure’s Emerald Coast before reaching the stage’s first bridge Smaller-scale games like Nintendogs achieved visuals and performance somewhat similar to this Sonic demo due to keeping most assets confined to the player’s house, a looping set of 2D images to serve for walks, and one facility that hosts the 3 competition types; meanwhile, the pixilation and frame rate loss we know the DS for is because titles like Zelda Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks, Dragon Quest Monsters/Joker, and Final Fantasy III/IV are long RPGs that feature enormous worlds.

only the appstore name is different, it's the exact same package name down to the fact that it even recognizes your old save and gives you a compensation bonus for progress, not sure about event characters like the angry birds though,
