Kirby's is so sad, Fox's voice was amazing in Melee and I liked Brawl's, and I don't know why but I like Ness in Smash 4, like I know that I should be sad about it but it just sounds epic.
My Brother (gukingofheart) made a video on Yooka-Laylee(kickstarter sucess), go check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lQ23hqAdOhM.html
Yoshi sounds completely the same in Every smash game. Since melee, Pikachu sounds the same in later smash games. Now do the Japanese voice of this because Jigglypuff has the Japanese voice of Purin.
Thunder Dash I know your coment is from two years ago, but I must say that it feel great finding someone who's talking about Fox's scream whinout complaining :'D
If I were to pick my favorite star KO screams for the original 12 characters they would be Mario: Melee DK: Melee Link: Tie between Melee and Brawl Samus: never cared for Pikachu: N64 Yoshi: Not really a difference since it all sounded the same Fox: Melee Jigglypuff: Melee Ness: Wii u/3DS Captain Falcon: Brawl Kirby: Brawl Luigi: Brawl
So in SSB Luigi was a high pitched version of Mario screaming. In Melee he sounded even higher. And basically in Brawl and SSB4 he sounds like we hear him as always... I wonder if the developers of SSB and Melee were too lazy to put up more voices...
Oscar Rodriguez Campos Nope :) But I'm sure you and I are the only ones who are not complaining about Fox's start KO scream I know your coment is from 2 years ago, but I had to respond :')
and partially because they would have to hire a voice actor for her if she'd make human noices, which would be a bad idea since she doesn't make any sounds otherwise.
I'm pretty sure Luigi was kinda of a reskin of Mario but with different animations and like 2 new attacks... well that's what I'm getting from the n64 version basically but it changed :-D
***** i pretty much made that comment because zeldas screen ko is the funniest voice i have heard. i just want to hear it again compared to brawl which isnt as funny :
One thing I love SSB64 and Melee a lot for is that they used fitting voice clips from the characters' respective N64 and/or GBA games. It may not require as much effort as bringing the voice actors in to record some clips, but I just find it a better way of representing the games they hail from. It might be that, or just that I _really_ love Mario and Link's voice clips from Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask. I find them iconic in a weird way. In Brawl, most of the characters have their own original voice clips, which is fine, too. The spirit of the older games kinda live on in Smash 4, for instance, most of the Koopalings' clips being ripped from their original game. I honestly understand if someone thinks it's lazy or something, I honestly just like it. The same goes, on and off, for the special attack sound effects over the years. In kind of a similar fashion, Mike West, Fox's voice actor from Star Fox 64 and the 3D Remake finally voices his character in Smash Bros., after curiously not doing so in any of the games yet. I don't mind his voice in any of those games, but I do love it in Smash 4 for retaining the silly, not-so-serious, cheesy charm that the original game had. I understand why a lot of people hate it, but it's representative of a big part of the most popular game in the franchise's personality. I adore the cheesiness unironically, so I guess it just naturally makes it easy for me to enjoy having him voice Fox in a new game. I kinda hope he stays for the new StarFox Wii U game coming this year. Similarly, Falco in Smash 4 is voiced by the person who voiced the character in SF643D. I know it's the elephant in the room for this kind of topic, but yeah, Luigi's voice in the first two games is noticeable for just only being Mario's voices raised in pitch (and even the voice clips for certain events were swapped as well). I forget how I felt about it at first, but I've long become used to it, it's nothing I can't take seriously. But even so, Luigi's personality is supposed to be a more silly, cartoony take on Mario's.
Melees' were probably the best, because they sounded like they were in actual pain, which is always satisfying, and also because there was no annoying fade.
I love 3:04 so much. N-HAAAAAAA!!!!! - "*UUUUU-WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaa.........*" And then he sounds like he got his tail or foot ran over by an 18-wheeler in SSB Wii U. "*UWAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa....*"
Captain Falcon's Star KO and regular KO sounds were basically reversed in Brawl. His star KO in Melee was meant to mimic the F-Zero X announcer whenever the player would fall off-course. Neat stuff, huh?
I can tell a EASY comparison in the 1st one and Melee with 3 and 4.... 1st and Melee had the voice actors to fade their voices but in 3 and 4 they added a echo without the voice actors trying
Things I want to see in Smash 5. - Screen outro animations like in 64. - When a character get's hit hard, instead of red lighting have a sound from one of their games that means death on top of their yells/screams. Example... Mario/Luigi: The sound from SMW2 when his face turns red. (Twisting sound) Ness: Have that sound from Earthbound when a character is going to die/has died. (Buzzing sound) Pokemon: The sound of a Pokemon fainting after their cry. (Falling in the trash sound) C. Falcon: The sound of his ship exploding. (Exploding sound.)
I prefer the N64's star KO's mostly because the voices fade near the end of their scream and it actually looks like they are very far from the stage and near the background unlike in brawl where they are pretty close to the stage and far from the background.
Best ones Mario - 64 and melee Luigi - 64 and melee (I love the sped up Mario voice. Sue me) DK - Brawl I guess, none of them were really "epic" Link - 64 and melee Samus - Smash 4 Captain Falcon - 64 Ness - all of them! (Ness has THE best, and most consistent voice in the entire series) Yoshi - they're all the same. Nice. That scream is a classic. Kirby - melee Fox - 64 and melee Pikachu - 64 (it just sounds more "sad", I don't know) Jigglypuff - all the same. Never really liked the character or the voice to be honest
Yoshi and Jigglypuff's one never changed. That explains the fact of appears the same scream of all smash bros series! But the funniest of was Link's star KO scream in meele.
