Interesting channel.. Thnx for posting. I use a lot of NVA kit for survival training here in Alaska. The FJ assault vest converted to a survival vest is my fav bit of kit. With a few mods I used one of these pouches for ages as an admin pouch for binos and a map/compasss.
@Ivarr.Bergmann.Alaska unfortunately NVA items are becoming more and more expensive, have 3x in price in the past 4 years, luckily Rucksacks and some items are still available for cheap for survival usage. Our unit has camped for multiple days using our East German tent supplies and dispite being communist production the zeltbahns actually have held well.
Interesting information on variants … there is another ein/neinstricttarn pouch which as a hole cut into one of the lower small pockets so the knob of the rechargablevariable lighting device for the sight reticules to stick through. I knew they used those nasty single pin buckles, I have them in a Green plastic variant and a canvas one the KdA are seen with in photos, but I had not seen the ein/nein camouflage before, with poppers as well thanks… another variant to look out for…😊
We have the green vinyl type they are KdA, not NVA so they aren’t really relevant to the video the canvas ones are KdA as well, from like the 1970s. We hope to do a KdA scope bag video eventually too. We also have a spare of that buckle type for sale, if you would want to buy it.
We are trying to gain a larger collection of west german variants before we go over west german items, however there will be a west german focused video posted next week! If you need information on west german items please check out our Instagram and dm us.
To our knowledge, the East germans took old soviet scopes, refurbished them, and added their own text and markings. Here is the one we own instagram.com/p/CpHqky9O8ay/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
