That's what you get when you have a company that listens to its playerbase and is not in it only for the money. SCS deserves all the good that comes its way.
As genuine OG ets2 player (got it about 3 months after release) I fully agree with you and the other commenter, it's still going very strong and it's come long long ways. Due to a good team and amazing willingness to listen to us players
I just got it a few weeks ago with all dlc because it was on sale on Steam. I never thought I would like it but boy was I wrong. I already have 25 hours in it. I'ts really amazing in VR and with a wheel+shifter
@@Moribax85 bruh they add nothing but locations (with dlcs) and new trucks (every 2 years lmao) what are you talking about? they dont listen to playerbase at all
First impression from "Hard Truck 18 Wheel of Steel" is ok. Nostalgic when you play it. Well, now i'm playing the "Euro Truck Simulator 2022" than better before. wkwk
Seriously! I had every single one and loved every single one. I remember scowering the internet for mods for them lol. Now I'm a truck driver lol. Thanks SCS Software for making those games turn into a reality!
@@genericwhitemale1114 I started by playing Pedal to the Metal (PTTM) and played Haulin and ALH. Had lots of friends online who also played it. We had groups on Orkut, Microsoft MSN and some of them became real truck drivers. I followed an entirely different path by joining the military and also got a bachelor in Physics, totally unrelated to trucks 😂
Euro Truck Sim. 2 and spin tires got me into the rabbit hole wich is the love of trucks, fast forward to when I was 19 I got forklift certified and worked in a warehouse and now at 21 I’m trying to get my CDL and drive a big rig. Love trucks and I’m so happy I was able to grow up with so many games that flourished my love!
I would have chosen a different clip for 2022 ETS2 as that clip was filmed in the UK, and that hasn't been touched in ages. A clip on the Stuttgart area or Iberia would have been better as Stuttgart got a rework last year, and Iberia is a completely new region added last year as well
As a truck driver, when going through rough snow or storms, I love putting the soundtrack on in the background! Makes me feel badass, and since it's just instrumental is not distracting so I can keep the volume low and focus on the road. It's a vibe listening to the sound track now while driving a real truck, remembering my childhood with that game
18 Wheels of Steel American Long Haul was my first ever trucking game I played. I remember filming my gameplay with a camera then speeding it up to make a shaky timelapse
Man i remember playing Cross Country USA when i was like 5. Driving truck has been the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do! 30 years later & it’s my life.
I like how there is like 90% of all those games from our czech SCS LOL :D. Also Mudrunner/ Snowrunner is so great game, cant get enough of it... Good video, but developer mention would be good too ;)
... ... Whooooaaaaaaaah, 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Truckers 1 and 2. I can feel the massive excitement of how extreme it is. I can feel my heart jumping out of my chest!
18WOS Extreme Trucker 2 was and still is my favorite truck simulator game. Between the Alaskan ice road trucking, Australian road trains, and Bangladeshi mountain trucking, the game had the most interesting and fun routes of any trucking game.
Rig'n'Roll was an export naming. Original name is Hard Truck 3: Conquest of America. And the series also had a management game called Hard Truck: Transport company, released in 2007. Export naming was Freight Tycoon, Inc.
18 Wheels of Steel was the game that got me into trucking. Little me didn't realize I would actually be doing it and flying planes! Living a good life rn! Across America was my first. Then Long Haul, which was my favorite because it had some super huge trucks and parts of Canada. Used to love driving through the mountains or going full tilt and seeing how many tickets I could get! It did sleep pretty good, your driver would fall asleep behind the wheel if you weren't careful!
The first "truck simulator" computer game I played was a text based basic program that was printed in a computer magazine in 1984 or 85 for you to key in yourself and run.
Rig 'N' Roll was the only Truck Sim game that had a plot. I have played it a bit, but wasn't that interested into that plot. Nor the fact that is was more of a "who arrived first at your destination with minimal damage" driving. So beating your rivals was hard if you wanted to keep your truck and cargo alive.
5:35 Plymouth in the UK hasn't even changed in ETS2 since this era. The city layout is exactly the same. The remake/update will have to be massive and can't be made DLC because the UK is in the base game, either that or they'll wait till ETS3. The amount of work will have to be DLC level otherwise it'll have a few nice roads with extremely old city assets or something, all at the expense of their own money and time. (just saying all the options they have here). Maybe it's why nothing has been done for the UK to this date.
Euro Truck Simulator - is build 2012 and today it was give more and more content and they work for old cities to make update. SCS make really so much in there Game, also with Multiplayer. That give a Thumbup from me.
@@mementomori8791 I think Australia will be very bad and boring imagine those train trucks they have there a very long trailers where they go only straight for hours..........and game is not out yet and already looks outdated with poor graphics
I really like the fact that cross country america seems like a normal old game, meanwhile the canada one that came out one year later seems like a drive in hell
Ive had a few different 18 wheels of steel games, I have both Euro Truck Simulator 1 and 2, and American Truck Simulator Extreme Truck, 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker 1 and 2, Spintires ext.
Good video. Got about 700/800+ hrs in ATS myself. My only issue is the game is so out date, at least in graphics and physics/features. SCS game engine is still base from 2016/DX 10 features and still looks and drives like that. Love the game but kinda looks like crap. Sure they added DX 11 feature and prob DX 12 at some point. But I kinda wish SCS would just do new games on newer game engine. UE5 looks so impressive. Would love see ATS2 with everything learn from ATS/ETS2 imported into ATS 2 but looking more next gen. One thing SCS has failed do well is proper engine sounds. Cat engine in Pete 389/w900 sound different when they shouldn’t. All engine in ATS sound like lawn Motor engine. Not proper turbo diesels. Alaska truck simulator, looks good and has so many new features that should be in ATS. Maybe once Alaska truck sim is out. SCS devs will take notice and start adding real truck features. Like oil changed. Engine maintains and proper economy, paying for parts/building/employees and all that real truckers deal with. Thankful we have mods like Zee’s mods that fix sounds. Good video though. Keeping eye on Alaska truck sim.
i remember playing Across america with Volvo aka volcano, where with top engine and gearbox cops could not keep up with u :D so u could just drive and not care at all! :D good memories
No "Big rigs over the roads racing?" In that you can go under the road, over the road, through the road, who knows! Phase through buildings and go backwards at speeds several multitudes the speed of light!
Pra mim só faltou sitar no vídeo World Truck Driving Simulator, esse jogo é 2018 ou 2019 mas tem gráfico que dar uma surra em alguns jogos atuais que foi citado no vídeo na mesma faixa de tempo de lançamento
