Coming across you guys about a year ago made me rethink training and how to go about it. I've become a better shooter, faster and accurate since. I would like to get into a class with yall
The Marines are overhauling their marksmanship program. The infantry marksmanship assessment, or IMA, uses points per second scoring, plus movement in shooting stages. They even have an app where they can compare everyone's high hit factor %.
This is all really interesting. I love competitive shooting but am a dog trainer by profession. I see the same thing happening in the dog training world. It used to be police and military K9 and the sport or competition K9 didn’t mix and similarly talked shit about each other. A lot of police and military K9 are now coming to the sport and competition people for the same reasons you stated with shooting. It’s refreshing to see this trend!
It's a big deal, shooters are not going to evolve without these concepts. you can spend a lifetime doing nothing if you're not careful. Imagine having a triple black belt in taekwondo in 2024.
"I know what I know, don't confuse me with the facts". . . I come across many of those folks in firearms so often, training, competing, etc. So many stuck in their ways, which is fine, but so many limiting others with their closed mindset. I've always approached firearms training, learning, etc as opportunities to add to one's (my) toolbox.
Hey Ben, I am curious to hear your thoughts about using red dots with astigmatism. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a novice shooter, but I am struggling to find a red dot that works for me. Most dots end up a blurry star and I don’t know if it’s just my eyes being derpy or if I’m struggling with target focus. Any tips would be appreciated as the advice I’ve been given has simply been to stick with irons.
@@onpsxmember I was just trying to irritate Ben for being a hypocritical know-it-all Stems from his obnoxious reaction to a commenter misusing the term "find" and then Ben the FORMER champion shooter totally trashing the guy. Truly sad when someone only feels better about themself when they demean others. As an aside, Ben's buddy Joel used the exact same term and Ben seems to lack the integrity to apologize for his blatant hypocrisy. I guess of you're one of the few people who like Ben, you're allowed to use terms that others cannot.
Can I assume you called your buddy Joel "inexperienced and a bad shooter" because he used the term "find" in a video you did with him a few months back? Of do you demean people for misusing a single word in a comment only if you think you can get content from doing so and it makes you feel superior?
