The combination of cost pressures, labor shortages and the rise of physician burnout provides an incentive to increase productivity. This can be done by shifting from a 1:1 to a 1:many care model, in which a single provider can care for a larger number of patients.
But how do you shift to a 1:many care model? To answer this question, and many other, we invite Dr. Darshak Sanghavi. He is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Babylon. A care organization that serves a dozen of countries and over 24 million patients.
Prior to that he was the:
- Chief Medical Officer of UnitedHealthcare's Medicare & Retirement, the largest U.S. commercial Medicare program with over $90B in annual revenue.
- Chief Medical Officer OptumLabs, the R&D hub of UnitedHealth Group, running a large portfolio of industry-leading projects with dozens of academic, government, and industry partners.
- Director of Preventive and Population Health at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, where he directed the development of large pilot programs aimed at improving the nation’s health care costs and quality.
