Anticipation was the key to this situation and not knowing the speed of cam car But should have made the decision when he saw the first truck pulling out
It's a left-hand drive truck so as a foreign driver he should make proper use of all mirrors. In fact, there is a mirror right above his passenger window helping the driver to see you right where you were so he obviously didn't look in it. I'm a truck driver my self so I understand how easy it is to miss something in a blind spot. I mean it's difficult to check all mirrors every time but I've got used to it so it is possible. Did you just swerve sharply or did he hit you?
This happens all the time when a heavy wants to pull out. They literally don't care and it's the reason for the vast amount of death on the motorway. I just don't know why it's continued for so long.
just drive one and you'll see there are still plenty of blind spots. Yellow lorry from video is european one and the Evoque was in the worst place to NOT be seen, however lorry driver should look in mirror to check situation. What I do is trying to remember colour and types of cars surrounding me and when I'm not sure if I can change the lane safely, I'm looking what cars are in my mirror.
@@Violinist_PL I figured out it was a left hand drive lorry, and that the driver was on the opposite side of the cabin, from where the car was… but if the lorry is fully equipped with all the mirrors he would still be able to see the car, if he would have checked his mirrors and not made a rushed move immediately after starting indicating.
Hopefully on your original video the reg number will be better visible. So if you have the number contact the police, this is basically not stopping after a RTI. And if that happened to me I would have made them stop.
Lucky, no contact. This is Turkish lorry. The have a base in Belvedere. Complain! No excuse for crap driving. Turn you mic on, as it's invaluable evidence sometimes.
I sent them 5 or 6 emails over 2 months - which they have completely ignored. Their UK office is a mobile number and the guy says I should have stopped the lorry, nothing to do with him...
I agree the cam driver should have anticipated that both trucks needed and was about to pullout there was two options slow down or speed up and as the dash cam driver not showing he's speed what the option should have been
