I've always liked Return of the Jedi and I didn't mind the ewoks granted I was 5 years old when that came out LOL! I wasn't aware of the hate they got until the internet. The funny thing is when I went to ask my dad what was the reaction to the ewoks when they came out he was like " all adults hated those damn teddy bears!"😂

The part where the little girl throws the keys was hilarious 😂

Battle for Endor basically began with a prototype Order 66. In all seriousness, I want modern star wars to consider doing stuff like the ewok movies again. Prequel and Original content fans be getting the good stuff but not the Ewok fans?! FOR SHAME

I still laugh and cringe when I see that Ewok was looking right at the camera while stroking the little girl's face

I also haven't personaly watched or seen these films since I was a kid way back in the 80's. I never fully understood the Ewok hate either as I always fully enjoyed watching them and their crazy ass antics every now and than. I want to personaly see you guys review the 1st Ewok movie Caravan of Courage next. The first film was always more enjoyable to watch than the 2nd film Battle for Endor in my personal opinion. Would definitely love to hear all of your thoughts on the Caravan of Courage film.

In the original TV airing, Cindel told Wicket to use his sling and hit the ring (girl had bars), but for home video, they changed it to her just telling him to do something. I don't know how either of them knew that would make him spontaneously combust, but for whatever reason, they decided to change whose idea it was.

In all fairness, the effects probably looked way better on old blurry CRT TVs, back in the day. Cleaning it up and watching it on modern streaming devices probably won't do it any favors.

I loved Return of the Jedi, Ewoks and all. But when my mom rented an Ewok movie from Blockbuster, I watched the first 10 minutes and got up and went to my room to play with my Ninja Turtles.

I remember loving Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure but being devastated by what happened in the sequel Battle For Endor and completely disliking it. This brings back good and bad memories

and people complain now about the prequels and the new sequels. I have the two movies on VHS.they are horrible movies. why I have them because im OG Star Wars fan. I even have the original trilogy on VHS.

Even as a kid, I hated the Ewoks. I saw the original film in the theater. I was completely enthralled by the time Empire came out. But Return of the Jedi pretty much killed a lot of my enthusiasm because of the Ewoks. It felt like Lucas didn't respect the audience, adult or child. They felt like an obvious design to sell cute little toys to toddlers and nothing more.

man, I remember watching those Ewok movies back in the day. it kinda tripped me out when I seen them in Return of the Jedi. I rewatched the ewok movies a few years ago and damn they were horrible, I may owe the Star Wars Christmas special an apology..... nah the Ewoks ain't that bad 😂

As much as I have fond memories of these films, the Ewoks cartoon series holds up a lot better.

So I saw this only once when I was like 6 and the only thing I could remember at all was her family being massacred and that there was a witch with a ring. I honestly thought as a kid that her mom and dad were supposed to be Leia and Han. I can't remember why but it must have been the fact they don't really go into detail on who they were outside of history with the Ewoks and I had no clue that this was a part 2 never heard of Caravan of Courage.

I've never seen these films but I've always been a huge defender of the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. I still love all the creative ways they killed stormtroopers, which is one of the reasons it's my favorite in the entire series.

I loved them and wanted one to be my bff, but I was little. I watched the cartoon too. lol

The reason Ewoks are hated is because of the simple reality of the empire a military faction of trained spillers with tanks lost to a bunch of teddy bears with sticks Like has anyone ever question how these small creatures overpower grown men or how they know how to work a miniature AT-ATs ?

Still better than Rise of Skywalker.

I live in central Texas now, but almost a half a century ago I lived in England. My dad was in the USAF and met a man named Peter Burroughs at a local pub. They became good friends and Mr. Burroughs and his wife would watch my sister and me while my folks went out. The Burroughs had two kids, their daughter married Warwick Davis in 1991 and Mr. Burroughs ended up being an actor. He ended being cast in Flash Gordon, Jedi, Willow, The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

I really hope he watches the first one. I haven't seen it in a long while, but I remember even as a kid finding this one far worse. From what I remember, the first one has plenty of flaws on its own, but it was still pretty good and memorable, and the creature design a lot better

Lol, we had this movie on tape (recorded from TV), and I remember liking it, but then I remember maybe sometime in my teens or early teens popping it on again, and just being those few years older, I realized it sucked, haha.

Yeah I remember my brother and I watched these movies as kids in the 80s but it’s not like I watch them like the original trilogy like over and over again throughout my life. Two years ago I rewatch them and I just really couldn’t believe how bad I thought they were but I don’t even really think they were considered official cannon by George Lucas back then. I’m not going to go rewatch the movie just to make sure the example is clear-cut but I remember watching it and thinking that it doesn’t even follow the continuity of what happened with return of the Jedi. I couldn’t remember if it was if this movie happened before return of the Jedi then the Ewoks would have known who people were or maybe it was the Ewoks told them they had never met humans before or something like that but whatever it was it was glaring that it just didn’t fit in with The original trilogy. This movie was a lot like that animated Star Wars movie where they brought in Boba Fett for the first time where it was really just for kids and not meant to be official canon.

When these first came out, as far as the world knew, Star Wars was over and done with. All we had was this movie, it’s prequel and the Ewoks/Droids cartoon hour. So, by the standards of the mid 80’s, this went down like hams at a fat camp. By today’s standards, this has aged about as well as that joke. Joking aside, when this first aired, it didn’t matter if you were 10 or 50. You watched this, and you liked it. If you can’t remember when Star Wars wasn’t ubiquitous, then you probably can’t understand.

I watched the shit out of Caravan of Courage. Now........yeah it's not aged at all. That said, it at least has an awesome monster at the end, like legit a really cool creature. Plus giant spiders that Wicket just out and out shanks.

Good lord I loved these movies back in the day. Don't hold up too well but I'm sure kids would still enjoy it nowadays. And honestly for being a TV movie from the 80s the special effects were actually pretty damn good. And it looked cinematic at least. Most TV movies just looked like longer TV shows at least it felt like Star Wars

Aubree Miller has only done two movies of this sadly this was her last movie smh I wish she had done a better movie before she got out of Hollywood lol because she was a great actor.
