I LOVE Fr. McTeigue SJ and his Catholic Current Radio Program. I had the great privilege to see him speak at the 25th Anniversary of The Station of the Cross in Niagara Falls yesterday. He challenged all of us Catholics to live as we were meat to be: "Heroes and Warriors". Because of him I am not going to be shopping or going out to eat on Sundays. He mused if all Catholics did this (and lived our authentic faith every day), the world would be a different & better place in which to live. (on his show he often asks: "Are we building a moral house in which we would want to live?" - paraphrasing). Bishop Strickland was also there & he started his talk by leading us in praying the Angelus. Over 1,000 Catholics praying this ancient prayer together brought tears to my eyes. Both men of God challenged us to LOVE our Blessed Lord and to live our faith courageously. God bless you both and God bless The Station of the Cross!! (as i "go in peace pray(ing) for" Fr. McTeigue...)
I was there too! Someone asked me who was my favorite speaker. That was difficult because there were so many good ones. I told him it was Fr. McTeague and I am a new convert to his podcast.
Spot on Father McTeague! We OWE it our ancestors AND our children to wise up and bring back the True the Good and the Beautiful. Need to shock parishes out of their laziness before they’re all closed …again (but forever)
