This comment made me teary eyed...I've heard ppl say this before but as you age and u see the mistakes you keep making 😢😢😭. Sometimes I feel like I'm punishing the child in me more than any of my abusers because I know she's been through so much but I won't allow her to be happy.

She is sick and tired but she doesn't want to leave you can see it in her body language.

I never knew this is what goes on in their minds. We feel as though we are hurting from there actions but some of them are really hurting as well

Its amazing that even though her man isn't ready to change he's trying to allow her to change. Not having/doing drugs in her presence and encouraging her to go away to rehab is great on his part. Too often I've seen addicts take ppls desire to change as a personal offense and try to drag them down

Me too! She is beautiful and intelligent! I think a lot of women don’t understand the correct man would do anything they possibly could do for her. I am not saying good men don’t like sex but a good man it isn’t about sex only. Sometimes a simple good man a simple hug or a thank you for what you do! That can mean everything to a good man. A pat on his back will mean so much more to a good man. Many women don’t get this! I get that sounds corny,boring,stupid and like that doesn’t mean anything. @SS3ASON It helps to know you can have a better life than what you've seen all your life. Part of her desire to stay sober is that it could help her mother get sober.

She needs a good home to go to. With a positive roll model and support system. Like I was thinking, I’m a 63 year old who just retired from a lifetime of working. I’m set up pretty well with pension and social security. Got a nice house, empty nest, single, healthy lady. I would think about taking in a girl like Ivy after her rehab. I would keep a close eye on her until I knew she was settling into her motherhood role. Of course, I live in a small town in SW Michigan. No where near South Central. Isn’t there anyone out there who would take her and her babies in? I suppose it would take a lot of energy and time. And it could become stressful and heartbreaking. I’m sure the state will help with housing. Its just a support group that is needed. Maybe a group of teen moms could get together. Stay focused, etc.. ?? I ramble. Just wish there was something out there to make it easier. Success rate isn’t real high. ???? I don’t know.

Be happy for her that she is at least making the intentional effort. She most likely is the only hope for her children… but her children might be her only hope and joy in life. The world is cold and lonely more than some could even fathom. But having something that is meaningful can change everything.

I feel sorry for that unborn baby inside of her. She thinks she has problems she needs to think of that unborn baby who will have all kinds of issues once it makes it into this world. The child will most definetley have learning disabilities. It is sad that she doesn't have any role models in her life. There are some good Shelters and some bad ones. She needs to find a good one.

Just because I am not going down a drug addict pitty trip doesn't mean I am a miserable person. I am far from being miserable and unhappy in my life. I took care and gave my love too many children from addicted parents. When a mother and father have drug and alcohol addictions that is passed on to the unborn child. Many of them become addicts themselves from the genetics of the parents. The reason kids are in foster care is not because the parents are wonderful human beings. The majority of children is no1 sexual abuse in the home and when a drug addict have kids the kids are exposed to this horrible life style that no child should have to endure. But unfortunately this is life for many. I am giving you information that I know is truth because I fostered kids and had to take training and we as foster parents need to know what to look for with children because when they come to you they are damaged goods. If I was a miserable person I wouldn't open my door and my heart to kids I don't even know. Kids keep in touch with me because I am a ugly horrible, and miserable person. I have done more in my life for family and friends and a support system for drug addicted parents whose children were in my care. I have probably helped more people in my life time than you will ever do in your life. I have fed many people who had no groceries in the home to feed their kids. Yesterday I deposited $7000.00 to help my neice out. It is the only money I had. Now I will have to live on $567 until her court case is settled. Never judge a book by it's cover as they say. I am a very stable person, a Chistian for 40 years. You are the one with a problem. Don't attack me because I spoke the educated truth about someone. It is true, I feel sorry for the unborn child inside this woman. The child is not even born yet and all the odds of this child having a normal life is against the baby. I know this because when I fostered kids I did it for a Reserve and kids are mentally disabled just from severe alcohoIism. I began to have an understanding of the issues. It is very sad, and even people from the reserve who don't have addictions see it. Do you know how many kids could be normal if there was no drugs and booze in their systems. In closing I wish you sobriety and all the best in times a head of you. I will keep you in my heart and pray for you to get well.

One of the problems with that is people think that is just a figure of speech but it is actually true/real. We can be oppressed by a dark energy without our head spinning around with green vomit going everywhere like in the movies. They cause the mental/physical disabilities and keep us bound.

I work with at risk kids, so here's my take. I think everyone goes through some sort of trauma in life but if you've suffered abuse/neglect and don't have a supportive family unit, you lack the skills to navigate it. A lot of the people on this channel would have had different lives if the adults in their lives had gotten them counseling.
