I heard an angel come in the room and peel that thing off me; and then I heard crashes and body blows outside. It's sad that he says he found a lack of authenticity in the church. I must say I've seen that as well. I've seen fellow Christians reject people I know who have now rejected Christianity altogether from their experience. I've had Christians reject me as an autistic person who chooses to embrace the parts of autism that I find harmless, good and sometimes even helpful. I've been bashed for accepting prescription medication that helps me tremendously and allows me to think better and feel better so that I can spend more of my time praising and following Jesus and less time imprisoned by my mind and having panic attacks. However, I do know that Jesus, Who is perfect, is not to be confused with the people who represent Him, who are very imperfect. I don't allow them to mar my view of Jesus. He is perfect Love and no greater Love can be found in anyone else. I am fearfully and wonderfully made... and just as wonderfully imperfect as everyone else. ❤❤

It's always a good thing when someone is able to let go of resentment and find peace ; I believe anyone with a mature understanding of mental health can get on board with that, whatever your gods are. In my experience, the most influential people in my life have been what you might first judge as your stereotypical angry atheists, yet as I've grown to know them they have only shown me kindness and self-less generosity. Their anger stems from negative experiences of old Christian upbringing and Southern US conservative culture, and they simply don't want other kids to grow up having to hide themselves and their doubts for fear of being punished. Being part of the Kingdom of Darkness, as I've seen it so poetically put, need not be about the pursuit of unhealthy pleasures or holding on to anger (although it can be, if you want).
