I’ve got my assessment day on the 19th only need a 6.6 beep test Royal artillery but a tad worried about it as I’ve only hit 6.6 once but then I do run on grass hopefully on the day I pull it out the bag

Back in the day we didn't have bleep test we ran on boots with half a tree I'm are shoulders in nbc suits....you lot run in trainers now with no weight ,HTFU all the best,nut if your worried ,get fitter

Always pray your day 1 of Basic don't start around November, like i did in early 90s, its fooking RAW! Nuff respect to all British Armed Forces. There is no Reg better than others, we all get the job done professionally. Shout out to 2 Merc!

Haha its always the best time to start, we started at the start of january and on our first field exercise you had to be tough to survive, a bunch of blokes, most who have never camped casually before in summer thrown into a field exercise in blustering winds, snow and rain. It really got rid of the ones who wouldnt survive

all the UK military basic training videos show how to proper flt & form a beret, in basic training. then your see them in the units. every odd shape and form, no uniformity. BUT hands down, P co, RMC, SAS/SBS/SRR selection are simply the best in the world
