"SID" in the context of Serum's noise osc probably refers to the Sound Interface Device synthesis chips that were used in old Commodore 64/128 computers. These chips had a noise waveform. Synths using (or emulating) SID chips are a thing.
@XLNTSOUND I'd watch that podcast. You guys standing up for us like a politician. I'm seeing all these companies making revolutionary new synths and I still reach for serum but honestly I'm starting to make audible whine noises as I open it.
@XLNTSOUND Do this for ableton too their new rollout has new features that ableton users didn't really have on their priority list. They are great but not 200$ great.
