I haven't made a vlog in a while and I know this is a little different with all of the knitting talk, but I hope you still enjoyed it! It was nice to share some of my other hobbies and not only the outdoor moments. How about those bighorn sheep though?! 💚
A Canadian mental health organization has a slogan "The Cure is Outdoors" and I couldn't agree more! Glad to see you out there and the sweaters are beautiful! Cheers, Barret
Exactly what we all need. Thanks. A beautiful, pointless, peaceful 17 minutes of the grand outdoors. It could almost be a meditative screen saver. Thanks to Nick as well.
Wow, a cross-over of my two favorite things - hiking outdoors and knitting indoors! I would be interested in your pattern if you decide to publish. What a great idea to have a really warm sweater instead of a jacket.
This video was so relaxing and calm. I do the same thing.. get outside and just be for a bit.. thank you so much for the calm pace of this video. Loved it!
I've always loved your videos...the beautiful outdoors, the great camping tips and cooking...but now knitting??!! It can't be anymore perfect! How wonderful to see all of the positive responses from everyone!
That's awesome that not only are you a great camp cook, hiker, paddler, etc. But you can knit a sweater in about a month! You are a woman of many talents!
What a refreshing blend of activities - nature, knitting and cooking! 🌲🧶🥘 Leaving the bustling city life for hiking and camping definitely does wonders for the soul. Really enjoyed watching snippets of your journey in the great Montana outdoors along with your creative knitting project updates. Can't wait to see more of your adventures and cozy times at home! 👍
You can't go wrong with pure wool - especially Lopi. You should try a Canadian yarn - Briggs and Little from New Brunswick. It's amazing, too. Lovely hike!
Knitting and the outdoors go hand in hand! Ask any Norwegian haha 😊 I was wondering if maybe you had some fun camping drinks you would like to share with us. We are trying to get away from soda pop, but sometimes we want something a bit more exciting than water 😅
I love that you are a knitter! I knit everyday and nothing better than knitting at camp. My 2 favorite things to do blender so well. Another great video. I go out west every year a day and AZ is on my list. Love that wool❤️
🤩 love love love ur sweater pattern, it’s beautiful 😻 I’m a crocheter and wish I could knit. Would love more knitting 🧶 talk ! Thank you so much for sharing 😊
I’m an avid knitter and outdoor enthusiast, I think they go hand in hand! Lopi yarns are perfect for outdoor knitwear, super rustic and warm. I’m currently knitting a fox colorwork sweater with plotulopi. I love to bring my knitting on hikes and camping trips, to sit quietly, listen to the birds and knit ☺️
I was so happy to see you had a video today! Been missing you! I love your knitting, it's amazing. I used to knit but I am not good at it! You definitely are! I enjoyed the video very much ... great shots of the animals and scenery. I'm always transported when i watch! Thank you for your content!
As a knitter, I enjoyed seeing your sweater projects, plus the beautiful views of Montana. That’s wonderful that you’re creating your own colorwork designs!
Amanda I love how you got so excited about your new yarn! I don't knit, I crochet, and I'm completely obsessed with yarn and get so excited when I find new colors and patterns! I love your channel please don't ever stop sharing your adventures with us! 😊 ❤
Love that you spoke about knitting! Would love the pattern name of the gray turquoise one you wear, the design is great! Finished a Telja lopapeysa in lettlopi and it's a great hiking sweater
Sending you so much love. I know the feeling when your not feeling yourself and feeling a little down. Know this though. My dear it will pass like all things nothing stays the same ❤
My mother, grandmother and mother-in-law used to knit. To me, the process is mysterious and amazing. Your work is really pretty. Thanks for the video, the landscape was stunning and the animals were beautiful! And your soup looked great and so easy to make. Thanks again, we look forward to seeing more videos!
Loved your video and how you’ve taken on knitting! We can get so much inspiration for our knitting from the outdoors. Love your color combos and color work. A little hint, take a picture of your yarn in black and white. You can really see how yarns will contrast together easily before starting your project.
Amanda!! Your videos are absolutely magical. I can't even tell you how amazing I feel watching your incredible nature and animal shots with the most beautiful music. You have such a talent. I wish everyone would watch these. And yes! Loved the vlog and happy to see your incredible knitting talent! Wow!! Really I'd be happy to watch anything you want to vlog about. You have a such a happy, appreciative, and calming nature, I love watching you. Thank you for the great video.
You weren’t but a few minutes into this video and I’m doing nothing but looking at your sweater. Then you start talking about knitting it! Yeah! Have to admit being anxious when you saw the moose with young as they were always a concern when cross country skiing in upper Wisconsin. Loved this video, thanks.
Love the knitting chat!! I'm also a knitter and hiking/camping enthusiast and I think they totally go hand in hand. I even designed a pattern and named it after a backcountry campground!
I love LMNT! I got a chocolate one in with a sample pack, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. I've heard it's good in coffee, so maybe I'll take it camping. 😊
I was just sitting down to work on my fair isle sweater I was working on and always enjoy watching my outdoor videos while I do. It was so ironic to here about your similar project, I love it!!!
Didn’t know you were a knitter! Me too and I was thinking how beautiful the sweaters were. Enjoy your hiking and nature, I live in CO and can’t wait to get out in spring.
I’m knitting an Irish fisherman sweater with yarn I brought back from a trip to Galway as I watch your video. 😊 I love the yarn you chose for your sweater! Are you on Ravelry? I’d love a link to your sweater pattern and yarn!
I think you guys should think about starting your own cottage business with a wool clothing line. Have been a big supporter of cottage start up companies. UGQ is one of my favorites. Outdoor Vitals.
I just finished the body yesterday so now I need to knit the sleeves! It looks pretty cool, although the design ended up being a little more complicated than I thought, but so far it's a good learning experience!
Everything looks so beautiful there! Love your sweater and new beginnings of one! 💗 What is the brand of yarn you are using? I kept missing what you said exactly. And couldn’t read the label.
The yarn is bulky so these sweaters do knit up relatively quickly. They typically take me 3-4 weeks but it depends on how complex the colorwork is and how much time I can devote to it each day!
I am new to your channel and can see that you have loads of content on hiking and camping. So I will be watching more. Can I ask what is the backpack that your man is using? Cheers Darrell
You know I just thought about this but I hope Nick has a 44 mag with him , late February not a lot of snow , kind of warm . You know what I'm saying ? THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA.....
Hey Frank! Enjoyed the book you sent us. We were very bear conscious on this trip. I figured with the light winter they were probably still moving around.
hi ive looked through your videos and cant find any but do you have any hot food recipes for backpacking, that are not the usual hiking packs or dehydrated pasta meals that just arnt that tasty.
I add two additional ingredients - dry ranch dressing and a can of refried bean. Refried beans help to thicken! Great video! Impressive knitting skills!
