Just found your vlogs today....Herman ostrow is my 3rd dental school( I'm a fellow Aspid with an international degree n masters 😏😏) ....congratulations on completing your first semester.....hope to see you in school sometimes...
Hi David, I'm pretty sure I'll be taking the same classes. It'll just be a continuation of them. Where will you be attending next year? I'm excited for you! Congrats on getting in!
Hi Heather! All you need to do in order to receive federal loans is to make a fasfa. If you're starting dental school next year then you can start your fasfa now. You just need your tax info if you worked this year. You don't need your parents information for professional school like dental school. Once you fill out fasfa, the school you're attending will give you enough money to cover the estimated cost of tuition and living. You have to renew your fasfa every year. I still have to renew mine! If for some reason, the amount of money they give you is not enough, then you can apply for a private student loan through the bank. The interest rate is usually higher so keep that as your last resort. I'm currently looking into other private loans to see if I can lower my interest rate. Here is a video I made about my student loans in case you're interested. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LFG0qW0RrK4.html
@@sabrinamarie1120 I'll start the first day of my 3rd year this upcoming Monday! Although we are going to have our clinic orientation through zoom since the school is still closed. Congrats! What school do you go to? The rigorous courses might take some time to get use to but you'll get the hang of it. Know that all of your other classmates are in the same boat as you.
Erika Correa hey Erika how are you?? For dental school I have questions, if you fail a text what is the chances that they give u?? Do professors curve grades?? If you get a 70 and above in tests is that passing or what is the grade in order to pass??
Erika Correa for curving like do you mean professors curve the exam like for example if I took a 69 in a exam would the professor curve?? Also I have heard of remediation what does that mean?? What university are you studying in?? What’s bachelor do you advice to finish in order to apply for dental school??
@@denaalakaila9376 more or less, if the class average is below a 70 the test will most likely be curved. If still fail the exam after the curve, then you go through a remediation process. That just means that you study and retake the test (of course it's not exactly the same). I'm a dental Student at Herman Ostrow school of dentistry at USC.
Finally got everything planned and sorted. 68E i hope will get me into 3 of the public dental schools in texas and using 20 months post 9/11 gi bill and hazzlewood to pay for my dental school. If i dont get into these 3 schools how long do i have to wait to apply again?
If you don't get in, you would wait until the next cycle to apply. So if you apply in June of 2019 then you would apply June of the following year. Best of luck!! You got this!!
