How do you feel about the ads spending? Over several billiions on a campaign. Yet the voters are suffering. No body have the right to claim any moral high ground.

He said the chance would be based on signing the petition by registers voters. But he did not say he was paying them to register to vote. Very fine line...???
since when did he "call for an investigation". all I heard him say is that it's something that should be looked into, but he's too chicken to even suggest it's illegal
Musk should limit the prize to those that were registered before the lottery was announced. That should clear things up regarding the legality of his intention.
18 U.S. Code § 597 - Expenditures to influence voting Whoever makes or offers to make an expenditure to any person, either to vote or withhold his vote, or to vote for or against any candidate; and Whoever solicits, accepts, or receives any such expenditure in consideration of his vote or the withholding of his vote. Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.

Back when America was great, everyone in both parties would sign a petition supporting freedom of speech in both parties. Nowadays they want to jail people for such activities. This is where the nation is. I would have signed the petition every single day for the 34 years I was a democrat. I sleep much better after I left that mess.
The comments lack critical thinking skills. Musk has an army of lawyers. You think they would let him do it, if it would be found illegal? Really? The world's richest man has bad lawyers?
The only reason why this strategy works is because people place monetary gain over integrity! The Contention City scene in 3:10 to Yuma. Ben Wade's being held captive in a hotel by Dan Evans (a rancher) and the Sheriff and his Deputy. Ben Wade is to later be escorted by them to be put on a train to Yuma Prison. Charlie Prince (a money coach robber and gang member of Ben Wade's) shouts to the bystanders standing outside the hotel loudly that he'll give them $200 cash dollars to any one of them who shoots anyone of his captors. Incentive to do the wrong thing in other words.
O yes bring the money not problem and the envious may cry thank Elon Musk for your help and for the American people we say thank you very much we love you
