Excel Change Case With or Without Formula - Upper, Lower, Title Case

This video describes how to change the case of text in an Excel worksheet to upper, lower or proper case. There are two methods described: the first uses text function formulas and the other uses the Flash Fill command available in Excel 2013 and later which does not require formulas.
The video will be useful if you want to:
Capitalise all letters in Excel
Display text in title case
Change the case of the first letter of a Word
Change capital letters to small letters
Change all caps to proper (title case)

Outstanding! I had a string of 246 email addresses that had the first letter of the first and last names capitalized. It was driving me crazy but Flash Fill was exactly what I needed. Many thanks.

MS should just put an icon with formatting tab, Upper/Lower/First Upper etc.

exactly. This is pretty annoying and time consuming for such a small task. The shortcut you mentioned exists in MS Word but not here..bit weird

Great Tips! I was having trouble Pasting the new data into the cells (Word 2007) and found if you use the mouse and right click Copy > Paste Special > Past Value it will leave the corrected info.

It is disappointing that Microsoft has not developed a function that changes the text within the cell itself. Why do we have to create another cell for the result? It is utterly disappointing. As a Python developer, I could write a small private program to do this, so why can't Microsoft?
