whoever is explaining this has very excellent teaching skills. ive seen many videos but this one is most helpful and it solved my problem in least time. i wish i had seen it before , much of my time wudve been saved.
Greetings from Brazil :) Thank you very much for your video! It really helped! I applied conditional formatting as you taught here based on a reference cell value. In this way, by changing the value in that specific field the color code follows. So I did 3 formulas: 1.) Go to Conditional Formatting >> New Rule >> Format only cells that contain ... Drop down#1: Cell Value ... Drop down #2: greater than or equals to ... Drop down #3: Clicked on the cell I wanted as reference (ex. =$B$5) ... Format = color green 2.) Then I just replicate the same process for condition 'less than' the cell reference with format yellow color and another condition for when it's 'less than' 0 (Zero) format red color Works like a charm! And now I have more flexibility in my conditional formatting!

I would like to design as follows: 1st column filtering yes/no; second column with due dates; and final column with colours i.e. IF 1st column is No and action plan has passed its due date then column becomes red, IF 1st column is No and action plan has not reached its due date then column becomes yellow; and IF 1st column is Yes a then column becomes green.

How can we represent the following criteria through conditional formatting: I would like to apply a different colour to each different band/range of values eg between a range above and equal to 20 ; then between 20 and 10; then between 10 and 5; and lastly between 5 and 0 ?
Great explanation , my question is how to make a rule so that the formatting of a cell let's say G4 is determined and changed based on 2 possible word (apple or Orange) in another cell B4 (same row) , and that would be the rule for the entire colomn G and B ?for example if B4 is orange then change the color of G4 to red and if it's B4 is apple then change G4 to green , Much appreciated if you give the answer .

I want to make an excel sheet which i want to follow up all emails records after 3 days if feedback not received then it should change its colors automatically. if feedback received it changes other color. Please help me in this regards
Hi, I am struggling to apply the conditional formatting based on other cell values. Kindly help. The case is, in one column I have qtrs. like Q-1, Q-2, Q-3 Q-4 and in other column there are branch codes and these branch codes are repetitive based on some activities. I want to highlight only those cells of branch codes column which are repetitive in that qtr. only. Suppose if I filter out Q-1, it will show only those cells which appear more than once in Q-1 only and likewise in other qtrs.
I’d like to format but with a number range. 90 to 130is green. Over 131 to 140 is orange, 141 to 180 is red and 181 and above is purple. Can that all be under one column?

If I'm trying to highlight multiple cells that contain for example various name codes, how would I apply the conditional format. I.E. =and(a8="azmarc1", a8="azmarc2") I have about 10 codes like this but the formatting isn't working for me. What am I doing wrong. Help!
Hi, I have a made a tick sheet but want to create a PASS box when all the ticks have been made. Is this possible? I also want it to be locked so you can't place a PASS in there yourself unless all the other boxes on that row are ticked. Does that make sense? I'm new to excel and I'm boarder line throwing the laptop out the window sometimes 😂
