OMG!!! Thank you for your videos!! You are a WONDERFUL TEACHER!! You explain concepts very well!! I struggle with Excel and dream to be a pro at it!!! I will definitely be subscribing and practicing! (lol) Thank you!
😂😂😂same here dude I star my job a month ago my boss is cool but I have to learns this. Anyways keep it up and don’t give up one day at the time good luck
Ahh thank you so much for this!! My job wanted me to create a spread sheet in Excel and I thought that I didn't need a tutorial because I thought it would be easy, but I definitely had no idea what I was doing in Excel! Thank you for such great details!!!
Thank you so much! I had a specific question in mind, and your tutorial answered it right away. Great explanations! No wonder you're a teacher! (-: Thank you for being a teacher, and thank you for this video!
Thanks for no extra blah blah unnecessary talk - Clear Cut - Easy to learn and practice and not too much info all at once to overwhelm an old lady like me :) Appreciate it so much !
I came back again this year, this helped me last year while we were getting ready for taxes to be a little neater. Back for the same reason. Thank You!
I just started a home inspection business. I ordered a new PC. While I'm waiting for my computer I knew I need to know Excell. Thank you for a very good look at this program. I'm going to subscribe and go through anything you got on excell. I looked at a tutorial on RU-vid from a guy who helped up date excell, but he is not a teacher like yourself. So I'm on board. Thank you James Virginia
What a wonderful tutorial! You explained everything in an easily understandable way and at a pace where I could follow along on my own spreadsheet. Thank you for making a “very beginner” tutorial. You are a great teacher.
Wow, I am practicing with you by copying what you're doing. This made it so much easier to understand. I was really struggling trying to use it in my College classes.
WOW your articulation and way of teaching is wonderful! Thanks for the video which gave me inspiration for my own classes (I give basic Excel training to students) 😊
Thanks so much! I hoped when I put it together that it would be helpful, I think I've achieved the goal there. Please check out my other videos as they may be helpful as well.
asha mehta, thanks for commenting, I spent a number of years as a software trainer so I guess my approach is the result of adjusting my style to create the best fit, ☺️
Thank you so much for this video!! You were very specific and went at a perfect pace. My job needs me to create one and I thought I knew until I went to actually do it. Wrong! Lolol. I’ve been worried about it because it’s needed soon and I had no idea where to start. As im up early getting a head start on finding how to do it, so I can turn it in, your video is the FIRST one I come across. When I say you are lifesaver! Most videos they’re talking way too much along with moving too fast. Thank you for being very specific, showing examples and moving at a perfect pace so that I could actually see and understand what you were doing and why you were doing it. Please don’t stop making different excel videos at this pace. Thank you so so much!!
When I was a student, my teacher's report read " Steven is easily distracted". True to form, I was also watching a program on TV , and had to watch this a few times to take it in. I'm 58. Great video Andy, much appreciated.
Thank you! Don't know if I deserve the high praise, but if you click into my channel, there's a whole series of Excel training videos. Hope they help you.
I made a report of daily static working engine using first 6 columns but when I save it in page layout form there are two pages showing but I want that single page to be saved...Help.?
There are a couple things you can do. Can you try switching to page break preview, observing and dragging the dotted lines to surround the actual area of your spreadsheet that contains the data?
@@AndyMahnFL411 well, can u tell me what I get when I drag down and select the area I wanna print. Take a quick preview of it then I get what's exactly I see in the preview at the paper, right?
@@RajSharma-mu9lp if you're talking about the print preview view, yes. What you see there is what you'll get when you send the output to your printer. I have a few video titles dedicated specifically to Printing and print options.
Very happy to learn that this was helpful to you. I hope you did well on your exam at this point in time. This video pertains to an early version of the program, and there are some changes in subsequent releases of Excel. It still should help provide some fundamentals, I hope you take time to watch some of my other videos and hopefully get some value there.
Thanks very much for the thoughtful comment, Sam. I'm pretty humbled by the viewership that this video has brought, and it seems as if it has helped many, I'm grateful for that. I'll certainly take what I can get, and the world does work in mysterious ways so I agree.
Lol the way you are actually comment even after 7 years after uploading this vid really shows how generous u are! May u recieve all the success in life. :)
I appreciate your observation. I'm also grateful to everyone who stopped by to watch a video that some might consider to be dated, but many still seem to find helpful. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much🤗I didn't want to watch a 12min video but I watched from beginning to end. This is almost identical to how I need to create my spreadsheet👍🏾👍🏾
Sounds like it was time well-spent! Hoping your watching simplified the process, I based it exactly on classes I used to lead, and the approach was based on what worked best!
If you are referring to the gridlines as they appear on-screen, Click the Page Layout tab - To hide gridlines: Under 'Gridlines', clear the 'View' check box.
I have a question If marks of one subject is 100 and marks of one subject is 150 then how to apply formula in total marks that if apply formula of if and 33 percentiles out of hundred will be total marks of 33 percentiles out of 150 and apply the formula once Do it and wherever there is hundred and wherever there is 150 it will be calculated automatically Plzzzzz reply
Thanks so much for very concise information I never used excel I open the application and turned it off felt overwhelmed didn’t know what I was doing and viola came across ur video tutorial just what I needed thanks a million
I'm happy to hear that my video here was able to help you overcome your spreadsheet anxiety 🙂 Please have a look at the other videos, I took a practical approach in explaining the layout, the terminology, and how to use the program. This is for an older version, but almost of the features and characteristics have carried forward to successive Excel releases.
Thank you so much! I had no idea of how to create a spread sheet. This tutorial has saved me and I learn from it. I just need to figured out , if I want to keep Using same spread sheet just with different input information.
Well you need Excel or a spreadsheet app for starters. If you already have Excel, Click File - New and you can select a new blank spreadsheet, or you can start from a template.
How would i use this to make a cookie matrix with ingredients listed and prices. If you know of any please let me know if this one can't. Thanks. I am doing a bakery from home.
Leigh Howard, this is the first video in a series. If you watch through the others you will be presented with sample data and an explanation of how to create a basic spreadsheet. Hope these tutorials help.
After being promoted to a position where I answer directly to the company CFO, I quickly realized my Excel skills of paying the neighbor's 9-year-old to create spreadsheets for me is no longer an option! I thank you for giving me the basic skills to create spreadsheets effortlessly! My neighbor's grandson won't be happy when I tell him the $5 I've been paying him for his Excel skills will no longer be a service I need. Poor kid. Now he's going to have to shovel snow, weed the garden, mow the lawn, as well as rake leaves to earn his cash!😊
Yep, you can't hide what you don't know any longer, it seems. Plus your good neighbor could probably benefit from a little bit of physical work as well, to appreciate the value of a dollar earned. 😊🤣
I'm so thankful I subscribed. I'd been avoiding spread sheets for years.Last time, I tried. It left me dizzy and feeling like and idiot. I clicked on another video ahead of yours. They lost me in the first 5 minutes. Loved your highlighted cursor and easy and slow way of explaining things to where I could easily follow alone. Can't thank you enough.
Thank you sooo much, i must echo what most people are saying here.. very easy to follow I literally created what i needed as i watched the video (dual screens) thank you. Wish it was easier to figure on youtube which video follows this one lol
I went for an interview, explained that I had never used Excel and expected to skip that part, was presented with it and told to try! I had absolutely no idea!, now 10 years later and 5 years retirement I want to use excel again and I have forgotten everything! Hoping this will fill in the gaps (no! The void) in my brain!!!😂
Sure, you can engage in a business agreement on the freelancing websites and share or receive Excel spreadsheets either directly through sharing via email, or uploading through the sites or using other online platforms.
