Many thanks, Ahmed! I have exactly the same situation here: Ready Excel tables with ID columns referencing other tables. Following your procedure, I don't come to the same result as you: The tables are not looking up data from the other tables. When I create lookup columns, they stay empty. You are talking about alternate keys, but you don't show when and how you create them. Are there other steps you did before or during the video which are not shown? Or what else could be the reason for my lookups not working? Kind regards, Florian.

Hi Ahmed, I created the alternative key in my parent table then uploaded the data to my parent table but when I import the data into my child table I get an error: "A record that has the attribute values Province already exists. The entity key Alternative Key requires that this set of attributes contains unique values. Select unique values and try again." But these values in my parent are unique and in my child they are not unique because the act as foreign keys. Please assist. Thank you.

The problem is that it's not clear how the "alternate key" is created. It doesn't say "Key Columns" now. It just says "Select Key." It does offer something with "ID" at the end, as in your video. In your video, you are able to assign the "UserID" to that. But when I try to assign a column from the Excel sheet to that column, it rejects it. It says: "The mapped data type for the primary key column "crdc2_Classes2024SpringId" must be the type of text and contain a GUID value.." It's asking for the actual GUID. Why is it different?

I am not able see the lookup column while importing excel through dataflow while mapping fields (in your case it is demo_customerIDOrder.demo.CustomerID). Can you help ? I think you talk about some alternative columns(Key Columns?). Or did you add something while creating relationships.
