Great info thanks. I did not know about flash fill. Another and easier way to get average speed is to directly convert pace to speed. To do this insert the formula =1/(H2*24) into cell I2

This was really helpful, how would you then plot the pace on a graph?

The problem is that some of my races are in miles AND Kilometres so how do I do this without creating two separate columns
@benaryder

I don't believe there is a way of specifying the unit in the cell. I'd split into two columns and convert into km

Hi Can I ask, I want you use min, sec and milliseconds, how can I do this?
@benaryder
@benaryder 2 года назад
At 0:55 when you format the time cell, use the format mm:ss.000 (if you truly do want milliseconds. For centiseconds, you'd use mm:ss.00)

@@benaryder Hi Ben Thank you for replying. After some playing around and reading post I eventually got to that conclusion, only to run into another. I am using excel and looking at the following problem as soon as I enter my mm:ss,000 it shows the rounded of sec in the formula bar, as soos as I try to correct it or press enter the rounded of sec are used and I loose my real millisecond value. It seams like many people have experienced it before.
