Viking does not advertise Galley tours! Ask at Guest Services and put name on a list; usually just (2) during a voyage. This is a pretty long video but it was so interesting. Laughed my head off over the escalators for wait staff. It’s a great idea and certainly saves their knees but only the Norwegians come up with things like this. 😂

This video was wonderful !! I really enjoyed seeing the galley and learning how everything is prepared. I will definitely ask about a galley tour when I'm on my Viking cruise in December. You know how much I like calves liver and I was so excited to see it was being prepared on your cruise !! Thanks again !!

I tried, once again, without success to make liver anywhere close to Vikings yum. Sigh. Obviously I do’t have the touch. 😂

I find galley tours so interesting. Particularly their computer system that counts what each and every person ate! Big brother is watching me to see if I ate all my liver. 😂

There’s not one eu nations /British person as kitchen staff, that means that the wages are poor. They circle in Europe but pay the wages of people of third world countries. Very sad. There’s so much unemployment in Europe . USA meat is banned in most of Europe due to use of pesticides and chemicals illegal in eu. It’s really scary to think that unsuspecting travellers will be eating American food in Europe as they are international waters again not good .

Actually, it is my understanding that wages are good. Unfortunately in Europe and America people don’t want these jobs. Long hours, hard work. But staff on Viking told me they love the cruise line; Viking is very good to their people.

I knew NOTHING about it until you brought it to my attention but don’t know if I really want to try. How expensive was it? Do you have to buy tickets in advance?

@@SheilaSimkin tickets are inexpensive to get to the top. About 20Euro Swing was 5E extra. The only reservations were with the people thinking about going on the swing. 😀lol
